Way, way, way too early 2016-17 10th Region Rankings

MC will be very heavy guard dominated. It will take them time to mesh things together. They won't have someone like PIG next year to keep things under control. I like Garrison being the "Robin" and PIG being "Batman" but I don't know if he can make that step up without ruffling feathers. He's very emotional and vocal.

If Perkins can gain weight and become a force in the middle then I think they have a shot by the end of the year. Their depth will also be really young so it will take time.

The sophomore class has played together since the 2nd grade and actually have 2 state aau championships. If they play summer aau ball together, I see them being better than most would think.

Not much HS experience in that Soph class. Like I said it will take time. End of the year I think will be better than start of the year.

@Goldsunrise lets hear your prediction:)

Yep

Don't recognize the name from PC, did he log any varsity minutes?

If Allen stays at PC, they are in that top 4-6 area. If he were to transfer to any of those teams in the 1-4 range, they immediately become Number 1, easily.

Played more early on. Had a few spot starts.

@sportsfanatic1 Hard to predict now, too much goes on over the summer and with transfers. Someone put GRC at #1. I love my Cards but I sure don't see that. We lost 4 starters with most of the scoring and rebounding. Cornelius will be hard to replace. We have Philpot. He will need to hit the weight room and play AAU this summer. We had 11 Sophomores on our team last year and only 1 started. I think we could be in the hunt but to Rank us #1 now , I just don't see it. PC, Paris, Mason would be my top teams right now.

While Matt Wilson is a huge loss for Campbell, don't count them out. Bertsch and Hegyi really came into their own this year and Clos is only a soph.

Re; Dontae Allen/Darius Miller

Very premature comparison. I wonder if Allen will continue to grow/develop or are we looking at the same Allen now that we will see in three years?

Allen wanted no part of the Brossart defense the night we played them in Falmouth. He stayed primarily on the perimeter and scored 8 points on the night.

Unfair assessment???? Sure. Maybe just a bad night. But my gut was that he didn't want to be harassed by someone "up in him."

I never compared them skill wise, just said a bigger and better prospect than Darius. Yes, freshman year people knew Darius would be special, but he also wasn't the sole focus on that team, Wes Jones is who teams mainly concentrated on. Dontaie on the other hand is "The Man" for his team. I'd say it's easier to intimidate at Freshman who is the team primarily.

GRC program is down. Maybe in 2018 they might shape up to something. They gotta fill all 5 spots next year, find role players, a scorer etc....hard to do with so many sophomores that didn't play and the ones that did play got a ways to go.

disagree....shoots to much and just because kids can score 20 a game taking 20 shots doesn't make them a good player. It takes 5 players to make a team better.

I thouht Mason County was down this year and peaked at the right time. Could we see more parody next year?

I put GRC way to high. I thought they only lost two starters.

Is this parody staring Danny DeVito as Buddy Biggs, Will Ferrell as one of his basketball players, and maybe Nick Nolte will make an appearance as a Head Coach from another school that challenges them for the regional title?

I couldn't help myself.
