Maybe I am alone in this, but I am more interested in the 2016 Highlands team, than I am in teams not named Highlands.

Once again I get all the Highlands fans all worked up and they take shots at me. All while I was trying to talk about who the 2016 Bluebirds have returning. I win! :lol2: :clap:

I have been on the same side of the fence. I have known Highlands would struggle with the boys from Independence for many years.

 

As a neutral observer I highly doubt SK would have a winning record against Highlands if the teams had played every year for the past decade.

 

I won't go into predictions on specific teams. But considering I am around the team more than most people, I just have a hunch they will surprise some people. Last year, I did feel like they could have beaten Cooper and Ryle if several plays go their way. But since I've been called out and I hate to do this because I have a great amount of respect for the job Coach Marksberry has done at Simon Kenton, but expanding on Jack of all Trades, here we go:

But in all fairness, previous state championships have little to do with which team will win in 2016.

Now that right there is darn funny considering they have won 7 of the last 9 state titles, a state runner-up and a state semi-finalist. Once again the Highlands people prove you wrong over and over again.

Bluebird fans, please quit letting UK fan get your panties in an uproar. I am not a Highlands alum but I definitely respect the Highlands football program and tradition they have built. I believe most posters on here do to. Don't worry, SK is getting better, but they will never win a 6A title. I also don't believe any NKY 6A team will win a state championship. Just can't compete with the big Louisville schools which has been proven time and again. Again, let him have his Ruby fetish moments. UK is the type of guy that you meet in a bar and just want to punch him in the face, but it isn't worth going to jail over. Keep winning the State titles in what ever class you are in and be proud of it. UK just lays in bed just wishing SK had the tradition of Highlands? Haha football in Indpendence is getting closer and closer.

Highlands lost a stud running back, a D1 qb, their strongest football player, one of their best guards ever, one od their best Dlineman, the lost their punterkicker and one of their best dbs. If all thoughs players they was an average team. I just don't see this years team going over .500 not enough size, talent or weapeons.

Definitely not closer to a 6A title but maybe to Ruby's nuts
