10th Region Bracket

Featured Replies

Hopefully St. Patrick and Harrison County will enjoy their regional tournament experience, but short-lived and a friends-family attendance.

As stated, the semi-finals have the potential for some excitement, but Monday night is strictly a trip-over-the-track for GRC and Campbell County.

Seed the 39th, sub Bracken County for St. Pats, and we're having a different conversation.

Mason vs. Campbell in title game.

You must be one of those evil Mason County fans. Your arrogance is beyond belief.

At least, from what I've seen in previous posts.

Wait a minute. I just saw your username.

Good luck to all the teams. Here's hoping that everyone stays healthy and plays well!:thumb:

I'm relocating part of a post I had in another thread to see if it gets any love here. I don't think it will where I originally put it. Just like to see some reaction to it.

It was pretty disappointing to see Mason County fans file out of the Igloo following the boys loss to Augusta instead of sticking around to see their girls cut their net down. A team that should be favored to repeat as 10th region champions deserves much better. Good luck to the Lady Royals next week.

Wonder why?^

Nature of the beast!

Because they were facing a 45-minute walk to get to their cars ?

Wait a minute. I just saw your username.

Ha. So now you are in agreement with me? #three-peat

Best draw Lady Royals could ask for. GO LADY ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!

And to think the Lady Royals almost didn't make it. Indeed the best draw they could have got.

Perhaps, but not likely.

Sumo knows where I stand on this. We have had several discussions the past couple days. Mason earned their spot in every form of the word earn. It just should have been Thursday night instead of Tuesday night.

My hate is directed to the draw not the teams playing. Good luck to Mason Co. But I don't think they win this season. I'm going with Campbell. Already beat Mason this season and it's pretty much a home game for them.

That is if both Mason and Campbell get to the championship game. :thumb:

Let's throw this scenario out there: What if, say, Maysville High School still existed, and the district was made up of Mason County, Maysville, St. Patrick, Augusta and Bracken County. How would everyone feel about seeding then, knowing that Mason County and Maysville (most years) would be the best two teams? Yes, this is a girls forum, but think of it in relation to boys also.

First things first, let's just soak this up and enjoy the what if, of this^.

Because they were facing a 45

That's actually a lot closer to the real reason then some want to admit, it looked bad because of the situation but I had talked to several people who said they wouldn't be staying for post game ceremonies if the boys or girls won. But I guess it was probably arrogance that I even mentioned it.. :ohbrother:

I'll say that if the boys and girls finals had been on separate days you would have had a lot more fans to stay for the net cutting. As it was, you just had a very heated boys finals and Augusta fans celebrating all over the court (they had a right to). And I don't see where you could expect the Mason County fans to stick around to see the celebration. As you wouldn't have expected the Augusta fans to stay around if MC wins that game. And as for the girls, this was a district final that was decided in the first round (as polar bear pointed out). There was not a whole lot of excitement generated from the win vs St. Pat. The St. Pat girls fought hard but really the game was over in the first 2 minutes (12-0 MC lead).
