The Birds score twice and hold Male scoreless. It looked like Male has more kids on the frosh than HHS's has on the varsity and freshmen combined.

This is not suprising to me. As good as Male is on the varsity level, they are prennially subpar on the frosh level, they are disorganized and lack that true leadership to develop a solid foundation before they become full grown dogs.

Not to mention the fact that a lot of the kids may not have played before (remember, there isn't an organized feeder system like the parochial primary schools have) and probably none have played the style of defense Male runs.

^^^ H, too soon, now you went got it started. Its going to be a long year. To be honest the JV & frosh have not practiced much. I was surprised that the freshmen made the trip. Those two dropped TD Passes...both kids were wide open and the GROANS from the Bird Fans, well funny.

The receiving crew last night consisted of #85 brandon roller, #84 colin rosenhagen, #16 kyle welz, #30 nick buten, #23 travis alford(out of the backfield). brandon roller made an excellent catch over the middle and broke two tackles and carried them into the end zone. Travis alford also made a short catch that went for extra yardage. And to the receiver that didn't make the catches last night, forget about it, we know you'll make more catches than drops and we'll see this as the year goes on...

When your siblings attend Newport schools and your brother recently graduates from Newport High School it raises a few red flags in my book.

He may well be but its hardly a unique situation. I'd bet that every high school has AT LEAST one kid who is a grade behind where his birthdate would put him.
