February 12, 201610 yr Why would Kasich be viewed as unelectable ? he's not exactly my leading choice but seems like he would make a fine president. Because he has zero personality. He's boring. America won't elect boring. Also, he has no money. (I don't know this, it is what is being reported) Right or Left, this is where we are at. You are only a viable candidate if you are a billionaire or have been tapped on the head by a billionaire. With one notable exception fighting against this limitation.
February 12, 201610 yr [video=youtube_share;xBX0Z1MkDyQ] He did it again. It's not a slip up. He doesn't have any depth. He's getting a reputation as a revolving sound bite.
February 12, 201610 yr Marco Rubio's tax plan would cost at least $6.8 trillion Marco Rubio's tax plan would cost at least $6.8 trillion - Feb. 11, 2016 Something often overlooked about Rubio's perceived electability is that his positions are quite extreme. I can't think of any major issue where he's staked out something close to a middle ground. Maybe people expect him to reverse course and moderate during a general election. It would seem that is his modus operandi - to change positions according to electoral needs. But I don't think that happens without consequences.
February 12, 201610 yr Only 2 presidents in 50 years didn't win reelection...I figure that's what he's is getting at. Actually three. Gerald Ford George Bush 1st Jimmy Carter
February 12, 201610 yr Actually three. Gerald Ford George Bush 1st Jimmy Carter Ford was never elected in the first place...not even as VP But I did forget him, maybe that's why
February 12, 201610 yr Marcos campaign is definitely treading water right now. This primary is crucial to get back some steam.
February 14, 201610 yr Rubio destroyed Ted Cruz last night. I thought he did very well stepping out of character and spit balling at him. The audience loved it, we will see what the voters say.
February 14, 201610 yr Problem is he destroyed Cruz on something he was guilty of going left on. I liked the Rubio/Schumer immigration deal, but now Rubio is trying to distance himself from what he did by saying Cruz did the same. I'm not sure if that is any better. Cruz has a pretty good ad group, and they will blast Rubio this week. Jeb owned them both when he said these are two senators (Cruz and Rubio) arguing over arcane bills that did not pass.
