I can't speak on that, since I don't have the info that Ramsey and the others do. But given the fact they self imposed a ban tells me its serious. Would I still fire him or not, likely not until I know what the NCAA decides. By the way, I'm sure as hell not an UL insider, I'm just using common sense. Honestly now is not the time to fire anyone. I never said they need to fire anyone and everyone once things are finalized, I just find it funny that the A.D. is not in the discussion, yet the President is.

Ramsey is in enough trouble on his own right now, completely unrelated to the athletic department. Many think he did this to try to save face on those other issues. Pretty sure he did this to limit the long-term damage to the men's basketball program? This way they can still recruit normally, or as normal as possible under the circumstances; as no official bans or penalties are yet implied or in place for next year. Obviously in the process he sacrificed this years team (and maybe his coach), including two graduate transfers that came to try & play in the NCAA's in their last year of eligibility; but doubt he'll lose any sleep over them? This was all about damage control with no regard of who gets hurt in the process. Proper thing to do if he wanted "to get out in front of this" was to forfeit the postseason next year, thus not penalizing the kids on this year's team; and allowing time for the NCAA to complete their investigation & hopefully allow the kids coming back to make the decision that was best for them, not U o L.

I agree with you on Ramsey, to an extent. Sure the UL faithful want him gone, he's a crook. But that should be up to the board to decide. Yet now the UL fans are trying to use the school's downfall's in this instance against him. That's fine and well with me, I don't have a problem with it. Other than the fact that his job was never on the line until yesterday. So essentially he takes a fall, like he should, Pitino takes a fall, but Jurich gets a pass. That's absurd to me, but whatever. As far as AD's go, I have no idea whether one has ever been fired for not doing their job in this sense or not. But to say they shouldn't be, I couldn't disagree more. I guess the better solution is to take it out on players that had nothing to do with it?That's about as ridiculous as using this whole fiasco to get rid of Ramsey yet keep the AD. Poop used to run downhill, I guess in Louisville it knows how to make a left and avoid the AD. Craziness.
February 7, 201610 yr Article on page M2 of today's Wall Street Journal: Rick Pitino has relisted his Miami home in Indian Creek Village for $25.9 million. If Ramsey goes, I've heard a couple of comments that Jerry Abramson might be interested in the presidency of UL, but isn't he too old---------68 +/-? Given Jerry's history of shady dealings that would basically just mean the status quo.
