Even if he didn't know about it he should have. He had Minardi Hall built so he could better control his program. This is the second major scandal under his watch. Time to cut ties.

Doug Gotlieb basically said the same thing Dakich tweeted when interview during the UK game. Said he didn't feel sorry for players that transfered and left thier old school behind.

I agree, the only way the AD gets drug down is if the NCAA finds a culture of non-compliance across the athletic department.

 

I don't think you are wrong in this case, but how idiotic is it to not hold your AD accountable for what goes on inside the athletics departments? Yet Ramsey's job (as much as I dislike him as well) is on the line at the moment. The whole idealism of that makes no sense to me.

So fire Pitino and the school President and let Jurich keep his job? That makes a ton of sense. It sounds like being an A.D. at a high level school may be one of the best jobs in the country. If YOUR athletics programs ever get in trouble you can just push the blame off on everyone else. If the A.D has no responsibility for what is going on inside the schools programs, what exactly is their job?

I'm not one of those calling for Ramsey to go. I don't think Pitino knew what was going on, and I'm already on record saying that I don't believe it matters whether or not he knew. It happened on his watch, he's responsible. If that spells the end for Pitino, so be it.

Personally I think that would be a good start. Otherwise the players that had no part of the violations are the only ones that suffer.
