Let's ask the American Indians how they feel about Thanksgiving?

Why not, they are the ones who helped participate in it.

If you don't like things here, why don't you go back? Your ancestors were immigrants at one point too.

Well since its 2016 and I was born and raised here I see no real need to go back. And Im sure if I did they wouldn't stop doing what they do because I dont agree with it.

I appreciate your awesome input.

Who exactly is "Tom Turkey?"

Plays in foxboro?

And Columbus day..

I'm no longer tolerant for the sake of not hurting others feelings or dissing their culture over mine.

You don't like it go back or shut the heck up.

Where is the Muslim girl/Mexican boy/Jewish kid who was born in the US going to go back TO?

Cali?

As I've stated in other threads regarding public schools I am ALL FOR getting rid of as many distractions as possible that take away from JOB#1 - education. The time and energy spent arguing over things like clothes, holidays, prayer, etc are just not worth it.

Oh I thought they would be assimilated by now. If not they need to be tolerant of others traditions and cultures.

What possible distraction is it when you teach about Thanksgiving. Its history.

The Gov goes out of its way to be tolerant to some but at the same time are very intolerant of others.

How many "American" parents would lose their minds if the school, in the spirit of educating on various cultures, celebrated a Muslim holiday in the classroom? Do I need to remind you of the protesting in Virginia when a teacher simply wanted to mention the Muslim religion in her classroom?

This is a preventive measure against non-thinking Americans.

Yeah but this isnt a Muslim country and we should celebrate our American heritage. If they dont like it then be silent, it lasts a whole day. let the Muslims be tolerant.

We shouldnt be celebrating any holiday in America other than our own that we have for generations.
