Could you move nearer a private school and commute a longer distance?

Not that I would promote this as a reasonable choice, but I drive 3 hours a day to and from work. When my kids were in school, although the distance wasn't as great, I rode the bus for an hour to work, I ride 45 minutes from that job and toy second job, and then a half hour trip home if I couldn't get a ride, or walked if I got off between buses.

I don't think so. I just made a choice and was committed to it no matter what. That's all. You've made a different chice that I'm sure you make sacrifices for.

Bottom line, if you want your children to learn certain holidays, traditions, practices, values, etc., teach them yourself. Be involved in their lives and the shaping of their views. Don't rely solely on the schools whether public or private to teach your kids what you think they should know.

Just because you vote someone in doesn't mean they are gonna do what you like or listen to you.....

So should every citizen of a community be directly involved with every decision of e school system? What stop there, why not city government? Or state, or federal?

If every citizen voted on every issue you would see different outcomes on some issues than you see now....
