June 20, 201610 yr Saturday night, my daughter took us out for dinner for Father's Day. German Bistro II in Largo, FL. Sauerbraten, coleslaw, sauerkraut, spaetzle, and red cabbage. The desserts were sour cream cheesecake, apple strudel, and black forest cake.

If you're there early enough in the day, the smoke isn't really bad at all. It's one of the few places on 27 with a nice craft beer selection and the fiance likes their burger and waffle fries. So we go there a little more often than you'd think.

No idea they were big into craft beers. I'm not into them so that makes sense that I didn't know. Always liked the food and the folks in the place and I loved Billie!

They usually have 5-6 on tap which rotates pretty fequently, but a decent amount of local cans and some random other craft beer mixed in. Not great, but considering most of the chains on 27 (e.g. Applebee's & O'Charley's) don't really carry craft beer, I take what I can get.
June 20, 201610 yr Knotty Pine last night for Daughters bday / fathers day combo. Wife & daughter had the crab cakes. I had the blackened scallops. Sat at the bar, great night. Needless to say, we were stuffed. Very good. Don't tell my two sons we went tho. Thought I might run into TAC, no such luck.

June 21, 201610 yr More ball park food. Last night was Monday Feeding Frenzy. My season ticket gets me entry to the ball field and all I can eat burgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, pizza, cheese steaks, chip, peanuts, ice cream sandwiches, and popcorn. They also have a theme each week where local restaurants setup kiosks giving out free samples of their fare. Last night was Wing Fest 2016. They had 10 different restaurants passing out free wings and everybody voted for their favorite. I got stuffed. Smokey Bones won best original sauce. Abe's Tap and Grill won best hot wings. My sister, who went with us, insisted on paying me full price for her ticket ($13). I exchanged one of my unused season tickets to get her in. We also brought in our own water, so after 1/70th the cost of our season tickets, Mrs. S and I ate for free and pocketed $6. Can't beat that.
June 22, 201610 yr Walden's Barbecue in Brownsville KY. Modern Woodmen sponsored night out. Shoulder plate, baked beans, cold slaw and a drink for $5.
