January 11, 201610 yr This! Loved his creativity and his passion for change. He was not afraid to break the rules and never wanted to stiffle his creativity. He toured 20 something years back and did a 900 number to request what songs the fans wanted to hear. Said he would do those songs, but not do them again in concert. Went to an outdoor venue in Indy, It was hands down the best concert I've attended even though I only had 4th row seats. Saw him a few years later in Vegas. After I was treated to a warm up band by the name of 9 inch nails he was true to his word and never repeated a single song. The only one he played that evening I knew was "Under Pressure". RIP to the Chameleon! That had to be tough. I feel for you, bro.

January 11, 201610 yr I didn't know he was in such bad shape. Listened to bits of his new album and thought he was going strong. Sad day. All of the radio stations were playing his music this morning. I'm going to have to spin some Bowie tonight.
January 11, 201610 yr I put in the Bowie greatest hits disc in the car this morning. "Space Oddity" is the first song on it, and I heard it a completely different way this morning. Choked back a few tears trying to sing along.

January 12, 201610 yr Bowie always recorded/toured with superb musicians. Loved longtime guitarist Reeves Gabrels. Also, I loved Bowie's collaboration with Queen on "Under Pressure", which I purchased on a 45 upon its release.

January 12, 201610 yr You didn't buy "Hot Space?" Weak. And I thought you were a fan … Ha ha.......The Game was the last Queen record I bought. About the only thing after that, that I liked was the Highlander stuff. "Hot Space" just didn't seem like Queen to me.
