When you have a California State Senator, Leland Yee, indicted for trying to smuggle full auto weapons bought from Islamic Radicals in the Phillipines, it kind of looks like the law was self serving as he was looking to make money smuggling guns into California that are legal in most other states. But as long as they were illegal in California he could get a premium return on his smuggling investment.

BTW the ban didn't save a single person in San Bernadino.

I'm looking at the big picture. The gun-control battle is being waged on a number of fronts ... in state legislatures, in courthouses, in other countries. To frame the debate by means of an up-or-down Second Amendment poll is silly.

Seven states and the District of Columbia have enacted laws banning assault weapons: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York. In addition, Minnesota and Virginia regulate assault weapons.

The have state bans that mimick the Federal regulations on selectable fire weapons?

It is silly to look at any other country in a vacuum as an example of what we should be doing.

Good to see Blue State Democrats put GOP legislators on the record in opposition to common-sense gun-control measures. Virginia also has announced it is ending concealed-carry reciprocity with 25 states, including Kentucky. Small battles on several fronts will keep the NRA's lawyers busy in '16.

Yet another example of hypocrisy from the left. They believe that every state should be able to set their own standards for gun ownership and not be required to recognize other states licenses, yet suggest that marriage licenses from other states not be recognized as valid despite varying regulations for obtaining them and the left would go off the deep end.
