If I were Reggie Nelson I would be sending video of the crack back block Antonio Bryant put on his knee in the game to the NFL. That looked worse than this Burfict hit which I am NOT defending at all because I do think Burfict is dirty. Knowing Bengals Steelers history and Tomlin's past remarks on Nelson makes me wonder if that hit by Bryant was deliberate

Well said, between that and the Steeler player threatening Tez the NFL needs to step to the plate.

I heard this same stuff about Howie Long. Now he's an NFL Hall of Famer and a revered NFL analyst. :lol2:

Love me some Howie Long!

When you are a 290 lb QB, the tackling options are limited. How many times have you seen Ben shed high tackles and throw TD passes! Cry me a river!

Just saw on Twitter that the NFL reviewed the video and will not fine Burfict.

Tweet by Adam Shefter.

Burfict is just one of those guys with a high motor and plays with an edge. If he's on your team, you love the guy. If he wore yellow/black we'd hate him like we do the rest of those people.

He was going for Ben's leg, no question about it. He dove underneath Pat Simms to get to Ben. Surprised the NFL dont fine it.

He and Mitchell are cut from the same cloth. No place for either of their garbage, like I said earlier. As for Brown he was fined for the hit on Nelson today.

Hope we get round 3

Nope, not dirty at all. Looked like he was doing a balancing act after turning the corner.

And for the record I never thought Van Oelhoffen's hit on Palmer was dirty either.

Tough to call it a dirty play from that clip. He definitely hit him in the knee, though. Unfortunately, Burfict's reputation haunts him and he won't get (nor do I think he deserves) the benefit of the doubt.

It looks, to me, like Burfict overran the play a bit. It also looks like he does get pushed from behind.

Yes he does. I don't remember you ever owning the dirty play of the Steelers players over the years though. Kinda hypocritical of you, don't ya think?

Nope, because I'm owning it now. Bengals fans incessantly whine about the Steelers playing dirty. I say we unleash the Full Mitchell on them next time. Then they'll know what dirty is.
