They spend their money elsewhere, in terrible long term deals. And in return shoot themselves in the foot. IMO Bruce, BP and especially Bailey got too big of deals. Now its gonna be impossible to dump them.

Frazier will be hitting FA in 2 years and the Reds are 2-4 years out from being decent again. He's going to command $100M+ most likely as a FA. What's the point of keeping him on this team and stalling a complete rebuild?

It's always tough to trade away an established player for a couple of prospects, but I'm in favor of a firesale so no complaints here.

 

And Reds fans will need to get used to this. I'd say this will be the norm (with exception of Votto) for years to come.

Peraza was once highly ranked in the Braves system. I've read reports that the Braves and Dodgers scouts have recently said he's a utility player at best at this point. His stock has fallen.
