PRP in the boondocks.

That looks a triffle unbalanced to me... POOR BUTLER!:D

I could definitely see this alignment coming to pass. The two private schools, the two traditional schools and the advanced school all slugging it out in the regular season AND in the first two rounds of the playoffs (assuming that the powers that be keep that playoff gem with the new alignment).

I know Jim Sexton would be dancing for joy if this happens. Talk about a weak district. Look at that one.

Fern Creek is traditional too.

If you were going to divide it by philosophy, then I would go with:

X

Male

Fern Creek

Butler

Southern

Manual

Trinity

Seneca

Eastern

Ballard

The team that survives this district in the playoffs would likely end up with a cakewalk to the title.

No offense to the other schools but that every member of that district is traditionally a top 10 school in the current alignment.

As I understand it (and trust me it confuses the devil out of me) there are several schools that call themselves "traditional" schools, among them Fern Creek and Waggener, but Butler and Male are the only true traditional schools in the sense that you apply to get into the program and that neither of those schools has a resides district, just like Manual.

OK, I get what you mean now.

Although it gets more complicated than that. I was an advanced program student, so if I hadn't gone to Manual, Fern Creek would not have been my resides school, even though I lived near it. Seneca would have been.

For two districts, I say:

1,390 St. Xavier Jefferson County

823 DuPont Manual Jefferson County

734 Male Jefferson County

713 Butler Jefferson County

772 Southern Jefferson County

1,440 Trinity (Louisville) Jefferson County

881 Seneca Jefferson County

793 Ballard Jefferson County

687 Fern Creek Jefferson County

967 Eastern Jefferson County

And put PRP with Meade and North Hardin, etc. They used to play in that district, you know.

I thought about that too with PRP, wasn't Butler in that same district then.

Yes, but if only one would be playing in the other district, it would be PRP.

I've been checking the khsaa for the promised info.

None as of yet.:madman:

So stupid...

What better way for one or the other to get weakend than to play each other. Let the big schools batter each other senseless so everyone else has a chance.

Hey RP, I was looking over the divisions and noticed that we (Dixie) are the second largest school in 5A. Maybe we'll have a population boom next school year and move up to 6A.:thumb: I like our district and the rivalry's we have. I am going to hate leaving it. BG doesn't have the same ring in my ears that T and X do.:D

We'll all have new "top-of-the line" stadiums soon in which to compete, and I'm sure X, Dixie, or t would fill them. Please grow quick so that we can get it on! :D

I'll have to start putting informational flyers on the values of open enrollment in every mail box in Taylor Mill and Independence.:D

(Those cities are traditionally Scott and SK feeders.)

Dang! Here all this time I thought they were HHS feeders.

Letcher County Central was left off this list. will this and the other 2 or 3 that were missed affect anything?
