He was not disrespectful, there is nothing to be mad about. If you look at this from his preception the Lafayette vs Trinity game, Lafayette couldn't get their offense going and they couldn't make stops on defensive. The Layette vs Male game, Lafayette drove the ball, but made mistakes in the red zone and couldn't execute. Lafayette Defensively made some key stops and cause a couple of turnovers. Lafayette killed themselves in the Male game, they couldn't stop Trinity. Perception is reality for most, not that it's true just what you perceive it to be. People really need to give the kid a break he just lost his last game of his high school career. I wish all the best for Young at UK. He has a very bright future.

I think Boyle Co would have given Belfry a MUCH BETTER game than LexCath did but not sure we could have beaten the Knights to get there.

I'll give some of Male's players credit they are being complimentary and saying they respect his opinion. More the adults being the bad eggs.

 

My opinion, this had been a normal practice for some of the parents. And I stress SOME. I'm not a huge Facebook or Twitter guy, but I'm flat out embarrassed for some of the kids who have parents acting inappropriate on social media. Bottom line, the Male team is full of classy kids - we can't allow the parents to shed a negative light on what the kids and coaches accomplished the past few years (in between the lines).

 

Enjoy it Male. Before you know it, you will be back at work and remember, it is much harder to stay on top versus getting to the top. Senior class set the bar extremely high for future classes.

I wouldn't be the guy to compare - I just know Male is loaded with talent at every position. I assure you, the guys from Male gave Landon everything he wanted and more.

 

Foos and Lococo would have been the guys from Trinity going up against Landon and Willis all night. Foos will be a steal for any college - could be a teammate of Landon when everything is said and done. Think he is down to 6 or more options. Lococo is headed to UL as a preferred walk-on. Might see these two battle again down the road.

This young man made just answered questions from a reporter honestly. I have no problem with what he said.

 

I do have a problem with a reporter asking a high school kid this question right after losing a championship game, then putting the video out there. Seems to me the reporter was just looking to stir up trouble.

It doesn't matter what the scores were during the regular season. Once you get into the playoffs, all that matters is that you win your game and move on to the next. As it happens, Lafayette won all the games in their side of the bracket to get to the Championship and that's just how it works.

 

If you actually watched the game, you can't say that they were undeserving. Anyone in their bracket facing Male would have fared as well or worse.

How so? They clearly learned something by their losses and improved, just as any team should. They lost to T and SC early in the season, but came back to beat SC in their second meeting and played respectably in the final against Male (which beat T twice).

 

I don't think you can automatically throw out a team because they have a bad loss, and it doesn't make it a joke that they improved and won their bracket. People were ready to count out Ohio St in the CFP last year because of their loss to VT. Scoreboard numbers don't matter as much as Ws and Ls.

 

Any bracketed tournament isn't automatically going to produce the two best teams, and it doesn't mean a team that might be third, fourth, or fifth best overall that makes it to the final is a joke. It's just the way it works.
