What did we do different? You fail to see thats there is a New Testament and a Old Testament and its teachings. You done exactly what you said and I understand that. I just thought you understood the difference. My bad. You know Christians do not go by the parts you quoted. None that I know. Can you say the same about what I quoted?

I know PLENTY of mainstream Christians that use the Old Testament to condemn homosexuality. As I've said before white supremacist groups often use the Bible for their beliefs. People who commit violent acts at abortion clinics use the Bible. You are talking about using passages from a religious text to validate ones beliefs and specifically what we would call radical beliefs. The Old Testament is used for that. I'm pretty sure you, yourself have used the Old Testament to validate your beliefs on homosexuality.

However they will find every excuse possible to make that distinction when we are talking about Christians. One only needs to look at the last few pages of this thread for proof...

You are talking about using passages from a religious text to validate ones beliefs and specifically what we would call radical beliefs. The Old Testament is used for that. I'm pretty sure you, yourself have used the Old Testament to validate your beliefs on homosexuality... Here would be what I use to validate my beliefs on homosexuality: "For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error" (Rom. 1:26–27).
