We've had the debate regarding refugees being welcomed into our country, and the allegedly stringent interviewing/ sorting out process they go through at the UN Holding Camps. Not really looking to go back down that road.

 

However, this new event does raise concerns over the inspection process that takes place for K-1 visa recipients. I have briefly skimmed over the requirements for a K-1 visa, and most seem like they could be easily forged. It sounds like the wife in this case was already radicalized, and she was sent over here to influence others. If this is true, that begs the question of whether or not the vetting process/ standards for the K-1 visa are truly effective.

I admit, I haven't read the Quaran. But in your post, you've taken passages, and removed them from context. People bring up similar passages in the Bible, and when these same types of passages are brought up, the argument people use to defend them, is that you can't take individual passages on their own. They must be presented in context in order to fully understand the meaning. Or that these passages weren't meant to be interpreted literally. There are many passages in the Old Testament that call for violence, genocide and other similar things. The Bible isn't all peace and love. Remember, the Christian extremists, like the KKK, Aryan Brotherhood, etc, use the literal translations of the Bible to defend their actions.

 

I get your point. But if you're going to judge the Quaran so harshly based on literal translations presented out of context, it's not fair to ignore the same type of stuff that is present in the Bible.

Same with the serpent handlers who translate literally. I mean I get where Jesse James is going, some of the Islamic people take their Quran literally and follow it word for word. However, it should be no different than some parts of the Bible that Christians today choose not to follow. You should know what's right and what's wrong in your heart. If you feel scorching people with grease and cutting their heads off for Alah is right, then that says a lot more about you than just being obedient to what your faith says.

 

IMO, there are a lot of sensible Muslims out there who do not follow some of this non sense as they see it likely as I interpreted it, that God is the one who shall punish not us. Unfortunately some of the radicals decide to take things in their own hands and take things literally the same way radical Christians do, Zionist and Frankest Jews, etc.

You're talking about taking literal translations of a holy document.

 

Do you not try to follow the 10 commandments? What about the creation story, is it wrong?

I've read the Bible. I presented those passages from it.

 

I dont hate anyone, including terrorists that will try to kill me. But whats wrong with me asking you if you have read what the book Islam is founded on says? When these terrorists started and it was shown that Islam was behind it, I decided to start trying to find out why this was. So I went to the Quran( use Google its easy) and started reading what it said that might trigger some extremest Muslim. After reading and searching closer,these guys are following it to a T so to speak. I would encourage you to read it and see for yourself. Do not take my word for it. You and you alone are responsible for what you do and what you believe as I am. If you would like I will give you links etc to study it. Fair enough? Then you tell me what you think?

The difference is, that Modern Christians uphold the New testament, not the Old as you have reference. If Modern Christians still lived their lives according to the Old Testament, you would have a point. Modern Christians do not still preach the brutality and barbarianism of the Old Testament.

 

I am unaware on this, but is there a new version of the Quran? One which teaches peace and forgiveness? Maybe there is, but if not and their teachings still encompass the original principles, then there is a stark difference between Modern Christianity and Islam.

Mr. James didn't say anything about modern versions or anything like that. He is speaking about following a religious text. How taking passages from that text can make someone become radicalized. His words are in my post.
