The last drive of the game from Danville was the furthest thing from home cooking had seen. That game lasted 4 plays longer than it should have thanks to refs mishandling the clock.

 

To their credit the P.I. call in the endzone was a bold call to make but it was the right call.

Those refs was terrible. Period. Let the kids battle it out. The same ref called both of Danville's TDs back.

Nope but I watched the entire First Quarter and a good section of the 3rd and 4th Quarters while giving passing glances of the middle sections.

 

If you had been there you would have noticed Danville players being limited due to slick turf

Are they in the 2A east? I don't ever remember running across them on our way to the state championship games.

For the little ole school on the "hill", that's pretty impressive.

Haters gonna hate. Funny I don't see any Danville fans on here whining about the refs. I will agree the refs were horrible, however they were horrible both ways. Your complaining is doing nothing but downgrading everything that these 2 teams did tonight on the field. Let it go! Danville played well but ran out of gas in the 4th quarter. The better team won tonight, give the kids some credit.

I love how a thread about NCC-Danville got turned into some weird NCC-LCA clash.

 

The only missed call that stands out to me is the block in the back on the running play that helped NCC advance to score their first TD. Still, Danville had chances to stop that drive aside from just that one play AND had a chance to stop the two point conversion. As I said in the live thread, NCC made the big plays down the stretch and did a good job through most of the night putting pressure on Dampier. This forced some quick/off-target throws and messed with the rhythm of Danville's offense.

 

I'll be rooting for NCC next week in the state title game since the East has gotten hardly any respect all year in 2A.
