It was a great game, I thought Danville got to conservative and were just trying to hang on. NewCath was on the attack and finally caught some momentum, the drive that NewCath had was all done by the QB what a performs. I give NewCath coaches credit for the gutsy call going for 2.

 

I was embarrassed by some of the NewCath fans/parents at the way they behaved that was unacceptable. I was also disappointed by Danville parents as well I heard several Fbombs dropped in the closing minutes of the game.

 

Good luck to NewCath hope they bring a championship back home and good luck to Danville next season.

Danville loses 13 seniors. They're done. LCA has everybody back next year.

 

You'd be surprised what practicing against the starters can do for a group of hard working juniors. Just because they couldn't start over the seniors doesn't mean they're not good, their time just hasn't come yet.

It's over, leave it go! Hopefully NCC will self police and tone down the rhetoric. If you are a poster on here who was involved and trying to defend your actions, just understand not everyone agrees with your actions.

I was there, and yes, there was at least one if not a couple NewCath dads behind me yelling and caused a scene. They were dealt with and was warned by the police. Also, NewCath principals were there right in front of the student section monitoring the entire situation.

 

That being said, as the game came to a close, the Danville parents were NO better. Several dads were standing over by the gate and screaming profanities. It got soo bad, I sent my 7 year old up further in the stands to get away from the yelling crowd. One mother even walked over to them and said "Hey - watch your mouths there are little kids around!". The Danville father replied "I don't give a crap". They also yelled at the boys once they were on the team bus about the officiating.

 

Needs to be dealt with across the board. It was both sides.

Agreed. However, we should be clear, the players were not in any way involved. It was a few parents who made it uncomfortable for those watching the game, and those playing it. It shouldn't make the teams look bad. It was a few parents and it has to be hard for the school to police loud parents as well. It shouldn't reflect negatively on the school as a whole, or the sports program. The sportsmanship after the game should be commended. They were very respectful and are all fine young men.

I agree totally with you. However there are things the school can do to police pregame activity that leads to this behavior. I'm sure that will be addressed by administration at NCC.

I don't doubt that it happened. I didn't mean that in a 'show me a pic or it didn't happen' kind of way. I was just wondering if there was something I could show MF players as to what they might expect on Sunday.
