November 25, 201510 yr I always thought that Race Bannon was a pretty cool name. I don't know if you're familiar with the [adult swim] Cartoon Network show "Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law" or not, but they did a hilarious episode where Race sues Dr. Quest (the unspoken implication is they had been longtime lovers) for custody of Johnny and Hajii. The premise of the show is a D-grade superhero from Hanna Barbera's 60s era has come back to become a lawyer, and he handles cases involving other Hanna Barbera cartoon characters from the past. Fred Flintstone, for example, becomes a mob boss, complete with Tony Soprano music and graphics. You had to be there. :idunno:
November 26, 201510 yr I love this thread. Yes, I watched H.R. Puffenstuff, Johnny Quest, the Jetsons, Skipper Ryle, etc. when I was younger. And by the way, many of us watched a lot of television for FREE back in the day. Antennas, rabbit ears, and aluminum foil all helped with reception. We were able to tune into four channels and I watched plenty of television for free. Now, I can watch over 400 channels, but I still watch about four, and bundled with High Speed Internet, pay about $2000 per year for it. It's a rip!
November 26, 201510 yr My FAVORITE show when I was a kid! HR Puffenstuff HR Puffenstuff Sing it with me! Nothing about that surprises me. :lol2:

November 28, 201510 yr And one of the better cartoons in it's day if you remember: It's amazing to see many of the gadgets shown in that cartoon are in use today, such as robotic vacuum cleaners and two-way visual communication.
