ND: Too many injuries and they do not pass the eye test.

 

Ohio State: Can't pass the eye test.

 

Oklahoma: Barely survived. Same as ND eye test-wise.

 

Mich St. : Maybe if they win out but they are not pleasing to the eye and Michigan game was just freak luck.

Oklahoma is the only one that the committee would maybe put in over Notre Dame if Notre Dame beats Stanford and they still may not put Oklahoma in over them. As long as Notre Dame wins out the other big 12 teams won't jump Notre Dame. If TCU would have won yesterday, Notre Dame would have had to just beat Stanford to clinch a spot.

If Florida beats Bama, UNC beats Clemson, Iowa wins the Big Ten and ND loses to Stanford so a one loss Big 12 team is in, will anyone even watch:idunno:

Clemson Beat Florida and UNC in ACC Title game they are in...could also possibly get in with a good loss to Florida and a dominant win over UNC.

 

Alabama Beat Auburn and Florida and they are in...lose either and it's the Sugar Bowl no chance with a loss in either game.

 

Michigan St again win over PSU and Iowa and they are in...a loss in either and they aint making it in.

 

Iowa win out and they are in...Beat Nebraska then either Michigan St or Ohio St and they are in...could possibly slip in with loss to Nebraska and a dominant win in Big 10 title game.

 

Ohio St...must beat Michigan and make Big 10 title game (need Michigan St loss to Penn St) then beat Iowa...there is a pulse in Columbus...it may be faint but they aint dead yet.

 

Oklahoma...if they win this week over OSU and look good doing it it may be enough to supplant Notre Dame for the last spot.

 

Baylor...a dominant win Friday over TCU and an Oklahoma loss to OSU would give them hope...ND loss to Stanford would almost assure they would make it in if everything fell in place for them.

 

Notre Dame...Needs a dominating win over Stanford IMO to get the funk of the last few weeks off of them. If they win and a couple of others loses they will get in by default.

You may be right about ND, the committee very well may put them in regardless, but that would an absolute travesty in my eyes. Oklahoma is running over people right now, if they beat OK State next week and they don't get in, that's a joke. I think Oklahoma is the best team in the country right now and to see them not play for a championship would be a disaster. I honestly hope they dont get in, and wind up playing Ohio State in a New Years 6 bowl because Ohio State and OU play next year and I would for Urban to have the whole offseason to look at film and gameplan exclusively for them next year. We're going to need that win next year.

I'm not sure ND is in the top 4 this week when the rankings come out on Tuesday. They have looked bad or less than stellar every game from Temple to now...they HAVE to look really good at Stanford to bump themselves back up...especially since they will be sitting home watching Conf Championship games and others will get a last shot to impress the committee.

They are running over people? The two best teams they have played were down to their backups qbs. Shoot TCU has a bad defense and their star qb didn't play and star wr was banged up and yet Oklahoma was a two point conversion away from losing at home yesterday to them. That sure doesn't seem like running over people. It seems like a team who was very fortunate that tcus qb didn't play.

OSU lost at home to a team playing a backup qb. Notre Dame lost on the road with their backup making his third career start ever. Notre Dame also has played a tougher schedule. So at this point no OSU does not have every reason to be in as Notre Dame.

I'd say the pit game counts as a blowout they were up 4 scores halfway through 4th and put in 3rd string qb who fumbled for a score.

 

Playing Temple close isn't bad. Temple beat Penn St and Memphis and is 9-2. Temple will be ranked this week.

 

The only bad game I would say ND has played was this past week. A majority of the games were decided before the 4th.
