I quoted the 325 and was only going off what the Radio guys said Friday night. But the KHSAA and Riherds page has it at 424 which is the official stats and it is absent the FS stats. Not sure what the stats were for that game but I would be surprised if it was a negative 99 yards rushing for FS.

 

Just looked at Stats on KHSAA scoreboard from Riherds.com. South's is reported at giving up 424 yards rushing. If you go to each opponents page and add the yards they said they got in rushing it comes to 512 yards. he biggest difference is North Hardin, Franklin Simpson and Warren East. South Says they held NH to 60 yards rushing and NH says they got 104, Franklin Simpson South says 48 yards given up and FS says 67 yards gained, and Warren East South says they gave up 17 and Warren East says they got 52, That's 98 yards different. I will point out that there were blocked punts in those games and sometimes the opposing teams does not take off for loss of yards on those plays.

 

All the others are the same or within 10 yards plus or minus.

It really doesn't matter. Everybody is proud of their team at this point in the season. Reality doesn't set in until Friday night. The ride home will not be quite as fun as the ride down.

If not for the 44-14 whipping Shelby administered to John Hardin there would be littel discussion regarding the outcome of this game.

 

Take the six games each team played against the six highest ranked teams according to MaxPreps. South Warren allowed 4.8 points per game and Shelby County allowed over 19 points per game. Drop one team below the top six and there is Franklin County that beat Shelby 31-28.

 

My prediction is a game that turns chippy early. Lots of flags for various indiscretions and a 34-14 South Warren win.

Regardless of what has been said south is not afraid to throw the ball. They had a 35 yard TD pass and a 20+ yard td pass Friday against FS. As well as run the ball very well with a lot of different people. They have excellent special team play. They've only given up 77 defensive points this year and only allowed 325 rushing yards.

 

From what I understand Shelby co runs the ball a lot and has a good defense. Their punter can flip dip the field of play as well. This should be a very good game.

 

I've seen them both play. I don't think this will be that close unless rain has an impact. Just my opinion. Good luck to both.

The Franklin County game was a fluke. Horrible weather, inconsistent QB play, and lack of support from Shelby fans, and it still only came down to a field goal. If the Rockets can avoid turnovers and penalties, play the same kind of defense as they did against John Hardin, and let the option offense do their thing, I think Shelby has a good chance to upset the Spartans, better than most expect.

T2t here something to think about nobody likes to get punched in the face and when they do they retaliate and since they can't move they ball or stop the offense they try to provoke players SW is no where near dirty actually they do a good job of turning the other cheek QB has gotten 2unsportsmen like penalties both times it is obvious they were trying to intentionally hurt him when he was injured even last FS game second to last play which was taking a knee FS dove into QBs knees

As far as this game goes, I'll take South 35-14. If it's close, I may drive over, but other than that I'll keep up with this one on Twitter. I think South marches on with ease.

I did imply that they got the entirely new facility partially because of that. Now, let me thread hijack even more, i'm not implying, save the screenshot for me. The Warren county school board is going to re-draw the school boundaries in an attempt to help Warren Central (who needs it). Cathy Goff is assistant super and Chase Goff works at Central. Draw whatever conclusions you want. You should be happy Jack. SW is no longer the golden child.
