Before bashing HHS record, what do you think PC record would have been against the schedule HHS had? It was by far a lot tougher!

 

I can see them having a similar record with that schedule. A better question is would Pulaski County have had multiple running clocks put on them by those teams? The answer is a resounding no.

I love how this is playing out.

How do you know what you are getting from PC? Their schedule was awful with only SC a good team and only 2 other teams that were barely above 500. PC, HHS, and Cov Cath all got beat by SC by about the same margin. HHS is by far playing better now than first half of year. I like HHS at home.

Highlands had a clock running on them in the second quarter and didn't score until Scott Co put in 2nd, 3rd and JV teams.

 

There is no comparison between these two games.

You are probably right because PC was basically returning their entire team and HHS was a total rebuilding year. HHS is not the same team they were at begining of year. Not saying they are a great team,but for sure much better than first 2/3rds of year and I believe right there if not better than PC. THat is why so many were saying at begining of year when they were losing that once playing in 5A competition that they could do some damage.

I haven't seen anything from Highlands that suggests they'll be able to beat Pulaski County.

No argument there. That schedule Highlands had was brutal but at the same time we are all accustomed to seeing them win those games. Seeing how Highlands lost those games is eye opening. Highlands very well could win on Friday but IMO Highlands will have to play their absolute best game of the season in order to beat Pulaski County. It should be a great game but I wouldn't be surprised if Pulaski County wins by 2-3 TDs.

 

As a BG fan I would rather play Highlands than Pulaski County if BG defeats Fern Creek.

Irrelevant. If one team were an 8 to begin with and improved to a 9 during the season and the other started out as a 2 and improved to a 7 they still aren't as good as the first team. The question is has Highlands improved to where they are a better team than Pulaski?

No, the question is has Highlands improved enough. Both teams playing like they did against Scott Co would have Pulaski winning very easily...Highlands needs to have improved MUCH MORE than Pulaski to close the gap.

No, but I do have my contacts in today.

 

I've been following this team since they were 7th graders. Their QB will be one of the best QBs Highlands has seen all season if not the best. They can throw it and run it efficiently and their defense is an above average defense. They stick you and they stick you hard. They are extremely poised and depth is not an issue. They are very well coached, senior dominated and these boys will be playing for their third straight trip to the state finals. And yes, I know Highlands is looking to go to their Lord knows how many state finals in a row this year. The difference is these Pulaski boys were sophomores leading their team to a state final appearance and when these Highlands boys were sophomores not many were on the field at the time. This Pulaski County team is one of the most complete teams that Highlands has seen the day after Thanksgiving in quite some time.

Highland can't stop them from scoring Pulaski wins 42-21

Yes. Highlands has yet to beat a team with a winning record all year.

 

But at the same time, PC has only beaten 3 KY teams with winning records (I cannot find the record of the Indiana school) in Henry Clay (7-5), Southwestern (8-4) and NL (11-2). Not the best SOS there either.

 

This game could be a dandy.

 

Highlands and home field advantage vs a long bus trip from Somerset could be the deciding factor.
