To be honest..CH this year is not as good as last year's team and that team got throttled by Meade in the Regional game last year. The problem is CH really hasn't played anyone in the playoffs that could prepare them for what they will see this friday night. Meade played just about as hard of a schedule in the playoffs last year (Henry Clay..Scott Co..CH..Trinity) as you probably can play and Meade still wasn't ready for what Trinity brought. That's not a bust on Meade or CH (The coaches do an outstanding job with the talent they have). Trinity and Male play in the toughest 6A district, face the best competition week to week and in Trinity’s case outside the state. That prepares them for the playoffs. That’s not saying it can’t be done..because Meade has done it. Just like Trinity last year, Male is just on a whole different level athletically this year. Good Luck CH !!! Nate keep posting those stats !!!

Good luck to your squad, whoever they may be this week!

I completely agree with everything you said! It is just that Mr. Bryan has always been the naysayer when it comes to CH. That is what I'm pointing out. He was that way at his previous employer as well. I can Google all the stats and records I want without him copying and pasting on here. I just hate when certain people spend so much time on negatives toward certain teams. We all know that Male is a different breed of football team and has been so for a while, Stevie Wonder can see that without all the stats and records. CH has done something for the 1st time in school history, let's celebrate this accomplishment and enjoy Friday night!

I agree that CH did a great job this season and I look forward to them building their program stronger and stronger. I didn't expect them to beat McCracken County and was impressed by their efforts in that game. But impressed or not I don't think they will threaten Male. Not this year, but if they keep building that program who knows?

I am a bit confused by the rest of your response though since I didn't mention Bryan or reply to one of your comments regarding him.

Now that Super District has been broken up Male is still in the strongest district, but Trinity's isn't nearly so difficult.

Never mind, not getting wrapped up in your antics, you win. Male is Better. Hope it rains 4 inches on Friday, turns bruin field into a mud bowl and we can establish the run game. Just want it to be competative.

I think CH has had a great year and has plenty to be proud of. Especially that regional title. Many did not expect them to beat McCracken and I was impressed by that. However, given the records, schedules, and expectations of the two teams you've got to expect some flak for predicting a CH victory. Don't let that stop you from cheering them on, but be prepared for wide-spread disagreement.

Most people aren't trying to be negative when evaluating Central Hardin's chances or predicting the results. They're simply being realistic based on what we've seen from the two teams.

I took this as talking about how I mentioned Mr. Bryan's negativity. No offense to you meant at all.

It is a large hill to climb Friday night but this is why these boys buckle up every Friday night and not let us decide on here. ?

Never once have I, nor anyone that I see for CH on here, predicted a CH victory. It just gets old when others constantly want to shoot down what CH has accomplished by qualifying the season! Not you, but others!

Oh, I was just responding to that poster's statement 'Guess for some it's easier to be negative', but I can see how you took it as a reflection on your discussion.

Chuckle, you are certainly right there. That kind of spirit is what teams need to prove predictors like me wrong. Maybe the predictions are right, but you'll never know until you go for it.

I'll go with the Dark Horse, Central Hardin!

Doubletake did, but I was surprised to find Hardin County Preps didn't. For some reason I was certain he had called a CH victory. My bad.

I'm NOT trying to negate ANYTHING.

Central played one of its toughest schedules ever (maybe ONLY the year Mike Lewis scheduled Montgomery Bell out of Nashville would be tougher. But that's it.). And made it to three straight region finals.

After years upon years of hibernation, the Bruins are building something. I'm glad to see it. They definitely were NOT like this before I got there, when I was there, or any time soon after I left.

There's a lot to be proud of, win or lose Friday night. LOTS of teams would like to switch places with Central.

HOWEVER, pointing out CH's schedule in no way, shape or form resembles Male's elite schedule does NOT make one a hater with sour grapes ... It makes one a realist.

I've pointed out E'town's regular season schedule wasn't that great several times ... yet you don't see "The Home of State Champions" supporters jumping all over me.

I just mentioned CH's schedule was not as tough as Male's.

I really do NOT think people are bothered by what I say (when others echo the same thing without the same vitriol and venom from CH fans) ... they're bothered by the fact that I was the one who said it (and not somebody/anybody else).

You're killing the messenger even though the message might be right/accurate. Not sure that makes any sense.

And unlike many posters on here - Jason Frakes EXCLUDED - I post under my real name.

I've got nothing to hide -- or a handle/poster name to hide behind.

"Yes, they have similar (skill position) athletes. If you knew North and Male like I knew North and Male then you'd agree...clearly you don't. But athletes don't make a team, it's a lot more than to it than just the skill guys....we all know that. Without a sufficient line, athletes become obsolete."

We have played both and I can tell u there are night and day as far as athletes

Central Hardin supporters are realistic and know that Friday night the competition level jumps up quite a bit. It would take a near perfect game, turnovers from Male and a herculean effort to come out victorious. I have no doubt that Central Hardin will leave it all out on the field Friday night and at the end of the night, we will know that this has been a historic season for a program that was hard to watch for years, and have since been in 3 straight region championships, regardless of the outcome, these group of Seniors have accomplished something that they will cherish and be remembered for in the halls of Central Hardin High School forever. WE ARE CENTRAL!!!

Looks like the weather is going to hold off until later Friday night, good news for tailgating fans and attendance at the game.

Welcome Male fans.

School address:

3040 Leitchfield Road,

Cecilia, KY. 42724.

FYI, there is a Mcdonalds, Burger King and Taco Bell and a gas station right in front of the school on HWY 62.

The high school has a very large parking lot within short walking distance to the stadium.

Had someone tell me this CH team is "about as good as the Meade County team last year." So, I'll go out on a limb and say 49-0. Won't be close.

No disrespect intended for CH but if Male plays the way they are capable this one is over early. The only team that can stop Male now is Male.

Now? Aren't they 13-0? Seems like it's been that way all year. They have been running roughshod through Louisville all season.
