Turkeyfoot 7th grade has a few nice players. I thought the PG was the Ludlow transfer (Smith).

Very nice player.

I assume since she is starting frosh and dressing JV at SK that 7th grader Beka Sergent is also not playing 8th for Twenhofel, correct? Very nice player BTW

I'm talking about #11 the lanky blonde.

A player I will be interested to see in the next 4 years is the daughter of former Newport stud David Simpson. She's about 5'9 or 5'10 as an 8th grader and runs the point quite a bit for Turkey Foot. As all kids do, she needs to develop a mid-range game. She can be a matchup problem if you put a traditional "big" on her.

Twrnhoeffel 8th is a shadow of what they could be with at least three 8th girls playing up in the high school.

Would be interested to know who the 8th girls are that play for Walton? Do they play AAU? Has Walton 8th beaten any other bigger schools this year? Do they have any losses?

Just to clarify, Twenhofel has only one 8th gr girl playing up-Maggie Jones and she starts JV and gets minutes, sometimes a lot on Varsity. Summit View has two 8th graders that play up. Morgan Stamper who has been starting Varsity the last few games because of an injury, also have Vickers who plays both Freshman and JV. Twenhofel also has a 7th grader-Sergent who starts freshman and plays JV. Her and Jones played together on Kentucky's only AAU Div I National runner up team. The other girl who played with Sergent last yr on their large school championship team- Sidney Thomas, who is now about 6'3-6'4 transferred and plays freshman and JV at Holy Cross. Too bad she transferred...could have had a team with Stamper, Jones, Sergent and Vickers as a core that would have been very difficult to compete against. Still will be but who wouldn't want a 6'3-4 center.

Could have been tough team there, but will still have a lot of young talent. Maybe the Thomas girl will decide to come back to SK? If she's only 7th she still has 2 years to think about it. Didn't know the details you listed, think I just figured all the SK girls were Twenhoeffel girls, forgot there's multiple feeders and they can pick high schools.

The Millary 8th grader at St Paul is going to be a really nice high school player.

Blessed Sacrament beat St.Pius 8th grade today to end the Notre Dame league tied with one loss each (lost to each other). The end of season tournament starts next week. The more competitive catholic school league though was the one St. Paul started this year combining the top teams from the Brossart League and the NDA league. There have been some good games.

Heard about the double technical by BSS coach. Why was game not over when there was no assistant coach on the bench. Now Pius parent told me they wouldn't have wanted that anyway as the Ts were a joke by the refs anyway.

Also Pius and BSS finish tied for first so both play in the St Paul league you mention. How they do in that league ?

So the head coach got two Ts and was ejected but there was no assistant coach on the bench? Did a parent come out of the stands to coach?

No. The head coach stayed on the bench for the last 2 mins pulling out the win. It was tied or a 1 point game at that point. Again no Pius parent cared as the coach is Friends with many Pius parents and these girls will all be playing together next year anyway.

St. Agnes 7th graders won the GCCYS Tri-State Shootout tourney at Moeller over the weekend. They defeated Mother Teresa and a very solid Cardinal Pacelli team (twice).

So you're sure the coach got two Ts yet he stayed coaching?

Why does it matter what parents think? Rules are rules, right?
