I agree, I don't think a school respond a certain way simply because of how another school responded. I do think, however, that racism should be treated the same, regardless of which race is the victim. In this case you have incredibly obvious racist dialogue directed at white students. I don't know how you can watch the video, and read the article, and not see racism. The white students were specifically degraded for being white: racism. If the participating students are penalized accordingly, then that's great. I will be very interested in seeing how this plays out. For some reason, however, I have my doubts that this will be the case.

I have been perusing the forums long before I became a member in 2009. I have been following your posts, along with other opponents to me on this issue, for quite some time, and have a great respect for all of you.

I DO have a problem with someone NOT reading what I've repeatedly typed and then saying that only white people can be racists. Knowing your education background and the impression I get as to your level of critical thinking ability I am writing that post off as a "bad day on BGP."

I realize they are different, but considering what the editorial reported is hearsay and that it was so dramatically different than what was recorded is there no room for some healthy skepticism before we draw our ironclad conclusions?

As I stated when the Mizzou stuff went down, I am not comfortable with the forced resignation. If the president has failed to foster an atmosphere that is welcoming then it was fair. Not being there I can't say it was fair or not.

Back up. Others, not me, tried to equate this to Mizzou. So if you want to make the comparison to Mizzou and the "bad guy" was the President then it's fair to ask who you see as the "bad guy" here.
