Justice had over 100 yards on maybe 6-8 carries and scored three touchdowns. I think he is a very capable running back for Beechwood if Stringer does not play.

There are other options available for the Tigers also. Their offense will be fine with or without Stringer. In last week's Simon Kenton Ryle prediction thread people were talking about Dillon Powell being on crutches the week before and not playing. I think he played and had 150+ yards rushing in that game. Don't believe everything you see on here.

Shocker. You and your other croney VOR are probably secretly having a little party at the thought. The rest of us that appreciate Ethan AND his flair are hoping we don't have to play even this week without him. You can't measure his other intangibles, leadership and examples. Here's to a quick recovery.

I am not sure why you are making this comment. I don't think anything in my post was a negative on StrInger. Why would I have a party? This is why I usually just post game reports and little else. People on here always seem to misinterpret or read their own beliefs into posts.

To answer though, I have always been a big fan of Stringer going back to his freshman year when I told him face to face what a great leader I thought he was. I was really impressed back then with how much he cheered on the reserve players when he wasn't in the game. Often you see starting players not even pay attention when the backups go into games but Stringer was on the sideline cheering them on as loudly as any fan in the stands. I hope he is on the field Friday night. Beechwood is a better team with him out there. If he is not, Beechwood has other players that will step up like Justice did against Frankfort.

With that now said, I will just read the rest of the week and post a game report on Friday. Go Tigers!

I've seen HC up close two times this year, both against KCD. I've watched a bunch of Beechwood video. Holy Cross escaped last week after a masterful game plan by its coaching staff and last minute heroics by a group of tough kids. Make no mistake, though, KCD hung with em both times and KCD would be three or four TD dogs to what looks like a machine in BW. The Tigers in my objective opinion are anything but a one trick pony...they are a complete football team. So with or without Stringer, I think HC has a tough road here, despite being at home. For Beechwood fans who are heading to the Ville and down Dixie Highway for the game...remember that HC has a dude shooting off a cannon any time the Cougars score. It's close to the visitor's sidelines, it's not very large(so you forget it is there) and it is deafening as well as a shock to the system if you're not expecting it.

that's a pretty cool tradition

I believe I read in the Louisville Catholic Sports recap that Perry for HC was hurt early in the 1st half against KCD and didn't return. If he's out, Beechwood will win big.

Thanks for the info on the cannon. Have not been around one since Highlands in the 90s. It can be a schocker if not expected. Dont know much about LHC besides they are usually a tough team. Have not seen them on tape this year. Hoping for good weather and a clean track. Beechwood line on both sides will dictate...if they can win the battles...BW should prevail. Overstreet Hermes need to play big.

Best of luck to Holy Cross and Coach Crumbacker...one of the more stand-up guys in our community and one heck of a player back in his day. Shamrock Nation will be cheering for you - and regardless of the outcome, hope to see him back in Coaching soon. We need more guys like Coach Crumbacker coaching young men no matter where it might be.

Beechwood by 3 TDs

could say that about Beechwood for the rest of the playoffs

What the guy above me said. Beechwood should have no trouble. That being said, HC has some good skill guys and should be able to move the ball. Hopefully for the beechwood fan's sake, their defense will post a shutout. That cannon is a pain. Heard it early and often a couple weeks ago.

Heading down early to bet a few races at Churchill. Can any HC fans recommend a place for dinner? Prefer local favorites vs a chain restaurant, but open to any suggestions.

Imo jerry's or jboys is the best place to eat. It is right down the road from HC. I recommend the jboy supreme.

I'm pretty sure I've eaten there before, good stuff if memory serves me correct. Would love to eat there on Friday, but have a long haul college game to attend to on Saturday, is there any live feeds for the game Friday night, would love to log in and at least listen.
