He did add something of value. All of this pitting of sides against each other and pretending that "my" side does little to no wrong and that the other side is the epitome of evil is what will be the downfall of our country.

for all Americans . A strong free and impartial press is critical to keeping the public informed and keeping those in power from running amuck over the general population . Now we have " journalist like George Stephanopalous who is nothing more than a lifelong democrat operative . And now CBS is having its debate moderator meet PRIVATELY with each democrat candidate prior to this weeks debate . The entire nominating process is a joke on the democrat side . In that case, this thread could have had many alternative titles, even assuming the premise that the inevitable Clinton presidency will lower the standard of living. Here are some.

 

The Republicans' Clown Car Strategy for nominating a candidate will lower the standard of living for everyone.

 

The Republicans' obsession with controlling women's bodies will lower the standard of living for everyone.

 

The Republicans' tendency to alienate every group except for old white men will lower the standard of living for everyone.

 

The Republicans just being Republicans will lower the standard of living for everyone.

 

And finally, one that is apropos for this thread,

The Republicans' tendency to think reality will change if they blame some portion of reality that they don't like on a liberal media bias will lower the standard of living for everyone.

There is no such thing as "the media." There are thousands of info sources that are collectively referred to as "the media," but each info provider is different. There are more ways than ever today to obtain "news." I think part of the problem is that too many Republicans who post on BGP -- also part of "the media" -- rely too heavily on TV for information.

Chuck Todd (NBC) grilled Obama's spokesman re: ISIS harder than Chris Wallace (Fox) did this morning. So I guess that proves "the media" is no longer biased.
