Who Will Win The 14th?

Leslie has some returning starters. Hazard will not have the same team they had in the summer at the KBA.

CSI, what do you mean by your statement of Hazard will not have the same team they had in the summer at KBA. Do you mean they'll be better or worse???? Just wondering.

I predict a change in the line-up.

Leslie, Perry, and Hazard make the 54th district a tough one, but don't forget about Buckhorn. They have shown great improvement over the last year or two and they should have a good year this season.

I say jbs will probably win.

I would say that JBS will be the pre-season favorite. They will have a very good team returning. It will take a good game to beat them.

JBS reminds me to much of Leslie 06' so I don't know if they will make it to the finals & take the trophy or not.

JBS is not like Leslie at all except of the fact that they will be the preseason favorite to win the 14th and return their players from last year. As far as team structure they could not be more different. Leslie relied on a strong inside game where as JBS will have a much improved inside game but are more versatile with 5 or 6 kids that can shoot the three.

Another thing about JBS is that most of their kids dont play other sports so they can concentrate on basketball. They will be much improved from last year and will be fun to watch..

I do not see a clear favorite but I will say JBS is the frontrunner. I watched them at Georgetown play most of thier games and I feel they are slightly the favorite. The other contenders are

Powell Co. (everybody back and a exciting new coach)

Lee Co ( 7 seniors with a ton of experience)

Hazard (if everybody stays at home)

PCC ( as usual TOUGH)

IMO, I believe the winner will come from the 54th District.

Historically speaking, you are very correct. Whether that will hold true for this season is questionable. June Buchanan from the 53rd, according to most post on BGP on the subject, was the most impressive 14th region school during summer play.

I believe kcc will be in the hunt also

Unless their is a drastic turnaround KCC will not be in the Hunt. I know it was only summer ball but they were not very impressive in June. June Buchanon is the best team in the 14th.

The 14th is wide open once agian. You can expect the perennial powers like PCC and Hazard to be contenders. JBS probably has the most talent of any school. Lee County will probably have one of the most athletic teams in the region with Fetters, and Johnson. And you can count on Buckhorn to be a team to cause problems.

I havn't seen buckhorn play how good are they?
