How can you hate Mike and Mike?!? They are undoubtably the best sports talk show on the radio IMO.

I just hate they have gotten old and I think Golic brings nothing to the table other than being a former player.

To each his own, but I think these 2 compliment each other better than any duo on TV or radio.

I know they have a big following but just not for me.

I don't like Mike and Mike either. I actually like Golic, but Greeny gets on my nerves. That all being said, they do compliment each other.

Mike and Mike are ehh...I listen to them just because there's not really any alternative. Cowherd is the best thing in sports radio and it's not even close.

Any of you guys recall the earliest days of national sportstalk radio? I remember 20 years ago working 3rd shift at a carryout in BG listening to the overnight sportstalk show (before ESPN Radio was a thing) on the main AM station there and I recall almost all the ads being sports gambling related. And a huge chunk of the programming was geared towards sharps as well.

 

I used to listen to JT the Brick and Arnie Spanier. Are those guys still around?

Mike and Mike - good show. I enjoy them. Not a huge fan but good listening.

 

LeBatard - Worst talk show ever. So bad I would even listen to Bill Cunningham over him if I had to choose.

 

Dan Patrick - About the same as Mike and Mike, maybe a little better. Probably my favorite of the national shows.

 

Cowherd - I liked his show. Not afraid to be different and smart radio. I like smart.

 

Rich Eisen - Growing on me. Not a big fan but I can listen. Like him a little better than Rusillo and Kanell.

 

Russilo and Kanell - I like this show much better with Kanell than when Scott Van Pelt was on. Van Pelt got on my nerves.

 

Jay Mohr - Different. Getting better. Still barely tolerable.

 

Andy Furman - Can't remember his partner. Can't stand to listen. A hair better then LeBatard but unlistenable.

 

Jim Rome - Entertaining at times and hard to listen to at times. When he goes on those long rants and says the same thing over and over for 10 minutes, I have to flip the dial. About the middle of the pack of the national shows for me.

 

Locals - I like all the local shows and will listen to them over top of any of the national shows. In Cincinnati that includes Lance McAlister, Mo Egger and Chick Ludwig on Monday mornings. Ken Broo is my favorite of the locals but he is only on over the weekends.

 

I only listen to over the air radio, no XM or Sirius so I can't hear Kornhiser and others that aren't on air in Cincinnati. I liked John Feinstein's show when it was on in Cincinnati.

The guy is a,workhorse.

Listening to Cowherd and SVP were great as they were easily my favorites. Listening to Mike and Mike makes me want to destroy my radio at times so I avoid them like a plague. Don't even get me started on the LeBatard show.

I love Highly Questionable the tv show, but Lebatard and Stu Gotz are not high on my list for radio shows.

I like Christopher Mad Dog Russo during baseball season.

My mornings consist of Mike and Mike till 10am. Then switch over to KSR to listen to Matt Jones. After that I cant really get into another radio show and just turn on Pandora.
