The victim ultimately refused to testify. Took a settlement and was uncooperative with the prosecution team. Speculation is that she has some credibility issues.

 

I'd find a reason to get rid of Hardy if I were Goodell and make him spend money suing the league.

There is nothing else the NFL itself can do. They already punished him harder than technically they were allowed.

 

The only thing that can change is if teams decide he isn't worth the outrage and not sign him.

I'll always feel like Ray Rice is basically a good dude who did a really bad thing. I'll always feel like Greg Hardy is the scum of the earth and I root for him to blow out his knee or Achilles every week. Total scum bag and Jerry Jones has made an idiot of himself in not only signing this moron, but also calling him a leader.

You can be a horrible person and a good leader. I am not in the Cowboys locker room so I can't judge if he is a good leader or not. It's obviously clear that Hardy is a horrible human being and an extremely poor excuse of a man. The only difference between him and Ray Rice is that Hardy is still useful on the field. Ray Rice was/is done and no longer a good football player. If this happened 3-5 years ago Ray Rice would be playing for someone right now. Probably the Ravens.

She said herself that he had been abusive to her in the past so she's also an idiot for putting herself in that situation to begin with.

 

She got some money though and that's what she was looking for to begin with by hooking up with a pro football player.

 

She gives true domestic violence victims a bad name.

I hear ya Cat (and Jim) but I don't fault her one bit for taking the money. I don't know her financial status but if he offered her a life changing amount of money (let's say a mil), I cannot blame her one bit for changing her life. I want to see the creep in jail as much as anyone but that does not help her and she may not want to go thru the hassle of testifying and getting grilled by Hardy's attorney. Also, it's not like future women will be in peril with him now. The word on him is out and any woman who hangs with Hardy after all this is truly an idiot.

My man, you give people way too much credit. This girl knew firsthand that he was an abusive man and she still hung out with him. What makes you think the next bartender/hanger-on is going to know anything about Greg Hardy other than he's a football player and has money or even care now that charges have been dropped.
