November 2, 201510 yr I remembered the contract was heavily in favor of the club being able to get out of it early, I just can't remember when any guarantees kick in or even if there are any. They can get out of it after this year. Dalton is going to force a bigger, more lucrative deal in the offseason IMO. His contract gets worth more each year. Now the incentives in the contract can make him top qb money if he hits it. The Bengals did his contact perfectly. They could get could out after two years, plus most of Daltons incentives are tied into his success in the playoffs. For each win or round he gets to in the playoffs it triggers another part of money in his contract that they have to pay him. So it really was a win win type of contract for the Bengals.

I hate seeing anyone get hurt and yesterday even before Bell went down you could tell Ben was at 60-70% at best. He couldn't move out of his own way and with the line struggling this year he may make his injury worse before its all said and done. Steelers will struggle without Bell big time the rest of the way.

I agree with most of that. However, they made a very wise choice with acquisition of DeAngelo Williams in the offseason. He's been outstanding. He's not Bell, but then again, there's not another Bell, anywhere. I think the Steelers are in pretty capable hands if he can manage to stay healthy. With that said, the Raiders are hot and they may well donate another one next weekend. Tough sledding in this league without your ProBowl Center and your starting left tackle out for the season. But that's life in this league. Last year the OL stayed healthy and the team was really on a roll until the Bengal game when Bell was injured.

November 2, 201510 yr No, we are talking about the same play. Fouts claimed it was low and away and GF ran with it despite what the replay showed... I remember the play, and on the replay while Fouts was professing his opinion his voice faltered slightly as the replay showed the placement of the ball right in Tyler's hands. Fouts got bailed out because play on the field continued and he never had time to acknowledge his mistake.
