I don't understand this post. What's up with the stats?

 

I think in a nutshell he is saying it was a forgettable game and its time for the playoffs. Possibly some stat stuffing late plays I dont know.

@tdyballgame may be saying Highland's stats look more dominate than they actually were. Late long pass for touchdown is just one example. The play could easily have gone the other way.

 

Highland's coaches probably do not feel confident going into the playoffs after that game.

Wouldn't think letting a poor Boone Co team hang around would be much of a confidence builder.

Are you kidding me with this post. Why would they not feel any more or less confident based upon a game that meant absolutely nothing?

How has Boone only had 1 win the last 3 seasons? Or better yet, only 2 wins the last 44 games. I feel as if they should never be that bad.

Honestly, because they are still running the same offense that they ran under Owen Hauck. Thought the QB threw a pretty nice ball and yet they rarely if ever throw Lineman are big and strong but do not move overly well, so most everything is run between the tackles. Would guess that when the surface is ideal, they may struggle a little with teams that are quicker than them both offensively and defensively.

And where Boone Co High School is located they are landlocked. They will not have any growth. They will be down for a long time. It was expected and predicted. When Cooper was built that was the final nail in the Boone Co coffin.

But they still have 6a enrollment. If they were just not a top 6a team, that may make sense. But they don't beat anyone. I get that there are more schools, but it's not like they still aren't a big school in NKy. I understand they may not be the Boone of old, something else must be effecting it too.

I believe economics play a big part in it as well and I would be interested in the enrollment numbers. I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers aren't dropping.

Correct, Only sport that has had a rough time lately is football.

A feeder program of their own would help.
