Campbell's QB had some very nice throws tonight but he will have to Tighten up his throws into tight coverage. The Competition factor is going to start slamming shut and throws he thinks he can make will no longer be there. They will be throws going the other way. Tonight he proved the Door was still open....

 

That's why this is freshman football. The kid is super smart and has plenty time to grow and learn. If he does, he's going to be tough.

I'd be careful about using a frosh team as a basis for how they will do at the varsity level.

 

It's a level where a very few number of kids in the right position can win games. That's not the case in varsity ball. You need a lot of good players.

Campbell has a lot of good players on that team, both skilled and on the line.

And I agree Highlands has talent in the pipeline. Those kids tonight playing for Highlands are the real deal.

 

The 8th grade class is even better. I have coached most of the kids in both grades and I will say that exciting times are on the horizon again in a couple years in Ft Thomas....

True dat, Clyde but there are some really good football players on both of these teams. The cupboard isn't bare for Weinrich and Lickert.

The 8th grade class is even better. I have coached most of the kids in both grades and I will say that exciting times are on the horizon again in a couple years in Ft Thomas....

In general. I have not watched the Camels and have only watched the Birds once.

The crowd was awesome and the atmosphere was fantastic. After the game, several players said they couldn't hear on the field. Major props to the paying customers.

Additionally a Jack Swagger look alike (WWE reference) from Highlands and a mountain man from Campbell County had words a couple of times in the stands right next to me.

 

My money was on the mountain man until Swagger called in reinforcements.

#45 is Brycen Huddleston and he is in the 8th grade. Very high Football & Basketball IQ

Well you can take it for what's it's worth and let me give you my Honest opinion. There wasn't too many teams in NKY that wanted any part of these 2 teams tonight. Do you disagree Ru? That wasn't Freshman football tonight....That was a War between 2 very good football teams.
