If Cruz's remarks about it are apparently so favorable, what would you have thought to a candidate actually just walking out (after explaining why, of course)? Would you give him/her props? Or would you consider them a cry-baby? Interesting question. I definitely think it backfires. You're running to be the head of the United States government. You have to deal with an overwrought Congress, a scrutinizing media, and hostile governments. You're response to adversity can't be "I'm out." I also say that because the adversity wasn't that bad. They were dealing with it more than effectively by hitting back at the moderators and media. If it had gotten really, really bad, then maybe a fringe candidate could have gotten away with making a scene and storming off.

The biggest lie running on the left platform is their denial of the severe state SS and Medicare are in. You can't fix it by taxes. This is a demographic issue. Fewer than 100 college students at nearby CU got tickets. Several times I wondered why the audience reacted as it did -- cheering wildly when yet another of the candidates bashed the media, and remaining silent on other topics. But again young people have always voted democrat this isn't new. Then they grow up and pay bills and become Republican. I can point to quite a few friends who voted against Bush and McCain and are now Republicans.
October 29, 201510 yr The people supporting Trump aren't going to support Hillary. I get the impression Trump dislikes most of the gang of 10 worse than he dislikes Hillary ... and I'm not so sure he even dislikes Hillary (considering she got an invite to his wedding). My best guess is the majority of Trump's supporters would vote for no one if Donald isn't on the ballot.
