Pitino not going to ACC Media Day

Featured Replies

On some level though its satisfying watching the same “grown” men and women stay involved, channeling their inner rage/hatred LOL.

Not directed at ALL UK fans, but this whole fiasco has brought out those UK fans that prevent me from rooting for UK.

The whole thing has pushed me away from KSR, maybe for good. Drew Franklin's article the other night about Pitino made me call it quits.

Likewise.

I saw that article RT'd on Twitter, so I read it. That is a perfect example of why that site will never survive if Matt Jones ever leaves. Drew Franklin is a clown.

I understand the reasoning behind this decision. I do.

But the media is going to ask the questions regardless of who represents the University. I do think if Rick thinks he deserves to stay he should fan the flames and eat the questions. Avoiding the media just makes them go against you.

It's a legal matter I get that 100% . I still think at the end of the day if you are comfortable in your position you should always face the onslaught.

To be fair, it's brought out those UL fans too...

I am not sure how I feel about this. But, the players should at least go, with the very strong warning that there are some questions that they better not respond to, or else. The media days are about the fans and players, all teams should make their players available so the fans can eventually hear what they had to say on media day, plus some more photos available.

But, on the flip side, imagine if Cal didn't attend media day and the outcry that it would cause.

Fire Pitino is the only answer right now.

Speaking as a lawyer, there's nothing worse than a client who won't shut up. Since Pitino is a guy who can't shut up, you have to take him out of situations where he'll be tempted to let his motormouth run at top speed. His lawyers are calling the shots on this now and I don't blame them for telling him not to go.

Nope. Doesn't fit the narrative.

He has lied to the media his whole coaching career. I don't know what his lawyers would be afraid of.

The self righteous ACC should be so happy they decided to add UL. If you're UC you have to be ticked that the Atlantic took UL over you.

:lol2: I love BGP.
