I hope he does ... and that is also more realistic. Not to mention ... he CAN PLAY ... which means a ton more than any 40 yard dash time. (I just can't understand why the 40 yard dash is something that is judged as "important enough to fabricate" ... if you can play ... you can play).

He looks more like a complete player this year than he ever has too.

Unfortunately college recruiting is more about measurables than it is game film anymore.

 

The 40 has became the gold standard for numerous position groups...though not a single player has ran a straight line 40 yard dash in a game without pads and helmet on.

 

If you are a WR, HB, CB, or Safety more often than not if you don't have a 4.5 logged you might as well forget playing at the Power Conference level even if you play your position perfectly. It baffles me.

 

It is also why you see all these NFL WR's , RB's, and DB's who played at smaller schools after making a roster as a late draft pick or free agent.

Kash Daniels and Quinton Baker don't show the same speed and quickness as Jacob Smith from Newcath. I don't get all the hype towards those two, both play poor schedules and seem over rated to me.
