Collins could easily be 3-0 in the district if you take the last 6 minutes out of the Spencer County game. The Titans are playing this coming week with a few key spots out but a healthy Titan football team is easily one of the best teams in the state.

I think anyone that watched Collins play Spencer saw Spencer go up and down the field all night long to the tune of 540 yards rushing. Collins struggles to score against good defenses, they are solid team but no where near the best in 4A. This is a really good district and the teams will be tough in the playoffs but I don't think anyone in this district has anything for South Warren and probably John Hardin.

Spencer was able to move the ball at will against Collins, however, the Titans stopped them when they needed to and would've held them to 13 points if they didn't have a complete meltdown at the end of the game. As for the Franklin game, I do think if the weather was better the Titans would've scored 40 instead of 23. They had to settle for a lot of field goals in the driving rain instead of touchdowns. That was one night where they should've been very thankful to be playing on turf instead of mud.

 

Collins does struggle to score, they are very inconsistent on offense. I never expected a Jerry Lucas coached team to have the offensive struggles they have had. The good thing for them is the defenses in their district aren't very tough (Shelby has a solid defense though). I agree, no where near best in 4A. If they wanted to be they certainly haven't played like it this year.

 

I also agree that no one in this district can beat South Warren. John Hardin, maybe, but I don't know if anyone can beat them either. John Hardin won't have a walk in the park, even in the first round, but I don't know if anyone from District 4 beats them.

John Hardin does not scare me. They are beatable. South Warren on the other hand I am not so sure I want to play them.

Hope you remember if your team gets that far. I would tell you see the Central Hardin/Collins score if they played.

I know that score and i can now say CH is not the team they were with all those guys hurt.

I would like to see Ashland and Scott play in the playoffs.

If Johnson Central beats Ashland this weekend you'll probably get your wish in round 2 of the playoffs.

As much as I really hate to say this, BUT I think the LIT ratings in the CJ look the best.

The Spencer county game they had their leading receiver Dalton Maggard out and their leading tackler Zach Stucker out. Maggard dominates corners like Spencer's and Stucker would've been Kadin Smiths worst nightmare on those sweeps

So the leading tackler being out led to the defense giving up 540 yards rushing? Lol funny you mention Smith when he was the third leading rusher in the game for the Bears.

 

Collins will have their chance on Friday night to prove all the naysayers wrong. All the Collins fans have shouted from the roof tops that Collins is this and that well they have a big game against their crosstown rivals and you should have no excuses. It is put up or shut up time for the Titans and their faithful.

I just want to get to the final game. I dont care if SW or the New England Patriots are on the other sideline. First things first Ashland has to play a very dangerous JC team and more then likely this is round 1. GO TOMCATS!!

Good question. The previous two times JH has played Shelby County (2011 and 2013) they were complete mismatches. JH was bigger, faster, and more physical. I know this means nothing this year, but traditionally Shelby does not match up well with JH at all. I know nothing about Franklin so I would have to ask what type of team they are and what type of offense they run.

As a JH fan, it's going to be a tough road regardless as I think we will have to face 3 of those teams from that side to make it to the state semifinals. This is the last "down" year for John Hardin so anything can happen.
