Here is my take on this game, I wish Ryle was undefeated because I think there would be a lot more pressure on them coming into this game. With one loss now, I sure hope Ryle doesn't come into this game with the attitude of having nothing to lose, and plays very loose. I think the Neer's win this game,but sure hope Ryle doesn't hang around, because Ryle can score on big plays, I'm a little up tight about this game. :watching: GO NEERS! SK 38- Ryle 28.

Didn't SK struggle with this almost same Ryle team last year, and now has a much better QB. I don't think this game is going to be as easy as you think.

After a quick analysis of both teams, the only advantage I see for Ryle is Morgan may have a slightly better arm than Racke. Cam is the better runner of the two. Not sure how Ryle would win this game minus a complete collapse by SK.

Ryle has a back averaging almost 8 per carry, but still insist on using other ones. Through last weeks stats England had 56 carries. That's about 1/3 of what Powell has, and there is simply no excuse for that. SKs weakness in in the run D, there's no Hicks/Marksberry/Deaton on the front 7. I would give it to #7 30 times. If they lose they lose, but that's their shot. SK is the better team, think this one lands around 27-14.

 

I believe the best back Ryle has is the Chisholm kid, he's a true rb and knows how to run. With that said though, I don't know if Ryle's backs will be the only answer and I agree with doubleduece "If Ryle depends on their QB running the ball....blow out! Ryle's qb is a pocket passer period, if he can hook up with the wr then it will be a close game. However SK defense scares me and I don't think they will allow Ryle to run or throw in this game. I believe Ryle will get exposed unfortunately. If SK win against Cooper is any indication, not sure Ryle can take down the Neers, with that said, two words-Dillion Powell. 35-14 SK

Totally different Ryle team up front compared to last year. SK is much more diverse offensively and much more disciplined defensively. Ryle's QB adds a very dynamic playmaker to their offense. This game will likely look nothing like last years.

We would have to agree to disagree. Disciplined maybe, better no. Deaton and Hicks were monsters and far more athletic than what's out there now, and QM was a 3 year starter that commanded attention. But Deaton was not good in space, this year they are much better tackler's in space compared to last year.

I am guessing you have not seen SK very often this year. Brian Carter is more athletic than either linebacker mentioned. Brian had similar tackle numbers to both last year in a part time role as a soph. He will eclipse both Deaton's and Hicks' tackle numbers from last year this year as a junior. I also think they are better in the middle linebacker spots this year.

As for the D-line while, they lost a 3 year starter from last year they have another 3 year starter in Tucker Mueller and a 2 year starter in Blake Powell. Add in Mitchell Kreidenwies and Drew Pompillio, both juniors and you have a very good 4 man rotation. This team is far more focused and athletic across the board than last year's team.

It's a great weekend for high school football in Nky. Friday night it's Ryle vs SK and Sat night it's Cooper vs Conner. I think SK wins by 21+.

I have seen them play twice, and could not disagree more. Just my opinion, I'm entitled to that. Carter is a nice player, but to say he's more athletic than Hicks I would have to question. My impression of SK was good D line, good secondary, weakness is speed and athleticism at LB. Will not matter in this game, they win easily which is what this thread was about, I offered my opinion as to why.
