I think so. T is to a degree still the T of the past decade and a half. Coach Wolfe has brought H back to the level comparable to what it was a decade and a half ago and Coach Wolford looks have St. X very close.

 

Will these three teams every once in a while drop a game or scrimmage to a team in the next tier, yes but the next tier teams will not win consistently enough against the Big Three to have a seat at that table.

Over the last three years the Big 3 have come back to even playing field. In the mid to late 2000s it was T an X playing for state championships, while H was Turing their equipment in at the beginning of November. H has come back on the last 3 years, but they can't get over the hump and win a state championship. The Big 3 is back and the 6A playoffs should be really fun in Louisville.
