Beechwood's undefeated freshman rolled to another victory. After the first three offensive touches Beechwood led 21-0 and they never looked back. Here are the scoring plays for Beechwood:

Q1

9:39 ... Jake Sherron 51 yard run, Dillon Doverspike XP ... 7-0

7:49 ... John Odom 36 yard punt return, Doverspike XP ... 14-0

5:14 ... Odom 53 yard punt return, Doverspike XP ... 21-0

2:47 ... Tyler Wagner 42 yard fumble recovery and return, Doverspike XP ... 28-0

0:26 ... Wagner 58 yard run, Doverspike XP ... 35-0

Q2

8:49 ... Sherron 19 yard run, XP no good ... 41-0

2:01 ... Wagner 65 yard run, Doverspike XP ... 48-0

Q4

8:18 ... Noah Howard 1 yard run, XP no good ... 54-0

1:33 ... Howard 19 yard run, Sherron XP ... 61-0

Sabeon Turner for Beechwood had two interceptions. Chance Smith also intercepted a pass for Beechwood.

I was told tonight that there apparently will not be a freshman championship game.

Yeah the season may be over for this group unless they can find someone to play them. I see Trinity has an open date on 10/29:)

Bright spot for NCC is the Cain kid (#8), QB. Watched him a couple times this year and like the way he plays. He got a little frustrated tonight, which is understandable.... No blocking, dropped passes and snaps on the ground. I know that there is a middle school team for NCC, but are most of these kids coming from Ken Morgan and the Campbell Cty Red Devils organization?

Yikes. Sounds like it got away from Breds early and snow balled on them.

Someone call that SK guy that insinuated BW ducked the big schools. See if he can get the Neers to come play the tigers. My guess is that will be a no.

I am sure that SKNeer is noodling on the next stream of anti-Beechwood comments. My guess is that he is still stewing over the 28-0 butt whipping that BW put on his Neers a couple of years ago at the varsity level. BW should have probably ducked that game as the competition was not very good.

This team is made up of Thunder coaches and players. 3 Red Devil Players. Cain, Kelly, Landkeit.

Wow. That is a heck of a score versus New Cath. Is New Cath's freshman team that far down? I know Beechwood is good but that score is about more than how good Beechwood is. Has New Cath freshmen won any games?

NCC is really down with no end in sight. Small numbers on Middle School team and they are not very good. New coaches have aligned themselves with different feeder program that isn't wining either.

Gotta have players to play, less than 15 on the team(?). Jr high numbers are low everywhere, so it doesn't matter what organization kids are coming from. Keep this group together and developed them over the next four years, they'll be fine.

Red Devils are undefeated and have loads of talent.

I remember reading in a thread earlier this year in a NCC freshman thread that a person wasnt happy in a game that was only 26 to 0. So this looks bad but From looking at the box score it seemed like Beechwood did all their work in the first half and there is nothing wrong with that imo. They are just a very good football team.

That's good to hear.

Beechwod has a very good freshman team this year. Very impressive in all their games.

NewCaths Freshmen coach Keith Culp is a heck of a coach, didn't get to see the game, but heard from many sources they are in a down cycle, it happens to every school. If anyone can help reverse the trend it is coach Culp, he took the upstart Beechwood Middle School team to a championship in just 2 years. As I heard one person say, "Coach Culp has forgotten more about football than most High School Head Coaches will ever know".
