I'm pretty sure GRC had all theirs, but don't know about Eastern. If GRC was missing anybody, it was no one of significance. All the "studs" were there.

Lee Co. will be at the camp. KCC is probably Knott Co Central. Prelim game on Wednesday afternoon, games every day ending on Saturday afternoon.

ARC, how is Lee County doing at the camp?

I wish Owsley County had returned this year to the camp. They went last year and all the players said they had a lot of fun and had a good learning experience.

 

BTW, I see the Bobcat's Johnson and Fetters having breakout seasons next year.

What division are the Crusaders playing in? The camp is set up for the smaller schools to play other small schools, or to play larger school's # 2 teams. Of course, smaller schools can choose to play in the large division if they feel they can compete.

JBS is playing in the larger school pool, they lost their first game last night in the 9:20pm game (long day). They beat Henry Clay, but HC did not have 3 starters due to football camp. JBS led the whole game & looked very impressive.They play Scott Co today but SCHS wil not have 3 starters & 4 of top 8 due to football camp & injuries. Everyone I have talked with has been very impressed with JBS they looked to be a very solid team. Playing like this they would have to be my pick for the 14th region next year. All you JBS fans would be very proud of their performance this week

JBS, Lee Co and Knott Central are all playing in the varsity "A" division (top division). There are 25 teams in the "A" division this year. A few other teams that are in this division : Beth Haven, Paintsville, Bourbon Co, Scott Co, Louisville Eastern, Louisville Western, Henry Clay, Logan WV, Franklin Co OH, Bullit Co, Campbell Co, Clark Co (GRC?), Bell Co, Boyle Co, Shelby Valley ......and a few others. Maybe Tates Creek.

 

Lee Co has won 9 games as of 9 pm Saturday night and have only lost to Henry Clay, Bullit Central and Paintsville(OT). They were 8 and 0 going into the late game last night. Lee only had 7 players and one bench player had a virus and the other has a cracked wrist so fatigue was a factor as the week wore on. Lee's scoring is pretty evenly spaced across the 7 players (avg 6 or 8 each) except for Fetters who occasionally rang the bell for 20 or so with his mid-range jumper. They handled full court pressure well but missed a lot of open shots but still managed to pull off wins in most cases.

 

I heard that JBS lost at least 2 games today but not sure to who. I also heard that Tate Cox played with JBS, contrary to the rumors that he will be playing at PCC this season.

I think that Paintsville had 6 or 7 technicals called during the Lee Co game. 3 assistant coaches were removed from the bench and there was some kind of altercation after the game between one of the assistants and a referee. Additionally, one player had 2 technicals and I think that two others had one each.

Sounds like as team that's out of control. Was Bill Mike there? He doesn't seem like the type of person that would put up with this sort of thing.
