Garrard is coming off an open week, too.

Before the season this game had me worried. I am not too worried about this game now. Boyle County has exceeded my expectations. I think Boyle County wins handily. I hope both teams escape injury free.

What about Lexington Catholic next week?

I'm thinking another big win by Boyle friday night, but honestly I'm hoping for a close game to get as much pre prep for Catholic as possible. 4 full quarters for the starters and a competitive game for Boyle will go a whole lot further for the team than a blowout would in my opinion, with the Knights on the horizon next week.

Lex Cath will hang for a while....but I don't see any struggle next week. May be a different conversation in a month or so....but right now Boyle is operating on all cylinders.

It depends if some of Lex Catholic injured players are back. If they are held out, then it will be a long night for the Knights, but if the 2 starting O-line, LB and QB Braumbaugh are back, then they might keep it close... But this topic is for another thread and another week.

Tough one for Garrard... Would like to see them play well and put a full game together. If they do that, I think they can compete with Boyle. But, they have been pretty up and down all year.

Boyle big - very big

Garrard has 1860 rushing yards and 212 passing yards on the season they are a run heavy team this is exactly why it will be a long night for the Golden Lions, you don't run the ball on Boyle's defense if you are to be successful you have to have balance on offense, and the way their pass defense has improved you better be good at both to sustain drives. Boyle's defense is one of the best in the state.

From the sounds of things Garrard should just forfeit and spare themselves from the agony of taking on the task of what is the most dominant entity in 3A football...................... Or maybe they should just go play and let the chips fall where they may. Garrard has no balance in their ground and pound offense while running for 90% of their yardage. Of course Boyle has much better balance, even though prior to their game with Lincoln approx 70% of their yardage is thru the air...........I dont think the balanced offense approach really matters to either team.

Wish you guys luck, but if you can't throw the ball effectively, BC will shut down your run game. Not trying to aggravate you, just the way it is, wait and see.
