Summer Game Results

I expect Holmes and CovCath to be very close this year, with the rest of the teams pretty far behind. CCH beat Doss without Todd or Bovard, while Holmes only lost by single digits to Doss without Duran, Henderson, or Rice for most of the game.

BTW why was Duran not playing? Injury?

I heard he was getting a knee scope

Holy Cross will be either the 3rd or 4th best team, but the district is too tough....Also I think that Holmes and CCH get an advantage from going and playing teams like South Laurel, Doss, and Madison Central. Not a knock on SK but the level of competition is higher in Louisville and Lexington.

SK could win their region this year, they return everyone.

HC is not far behind anyone in this region.

When and where are some of the upcoming NKY games?

HC is at NKU June 9th and 10th and the following week at Mount St. Joes

I believe Dixie and Brossart played Mon. Does anybody have any information on this game?

It was about even when the varsity played. Brossart was missing about half of their players.

Not true, Dixie outscored them every quarter. Dixie beat them by 2 in the first and third quarters (the game only lasted 3 quarters) and the second quarter Dixie won 18-3. Brossart started their jv in the 2nd quarter with Dixie mixing in a few jv and varsity guys together. Dixie jumped out 8-0 on them and then they brought in the varsity, in which Dixie's varsity and Brossart's varsity finished out the quarter and Dixie's varsity beat them 10-3, not counting the previous 8 points. Cooper (the center for Brossart) had 7-8 fouls in only 3 quarters and a handful of them were offensive because of his elbow swinging and just shoving people. To say the varsity squads were even would not be true....

There were four.Dixie won the first by 1...Brossart won the second quarter by 8... The JV started the third and I believe Dixie beat Brossart by 2 in the last....And there were fouls on both sides, it's just one sides coaches were reffing.

Brossart didn't beat Dixie in any quarter. I was there and after reading your post I confirmed with others and again we have no idea when Brossart ever "beat" Dixie in a quarter. Either way, its June, both squads looked pretty good for it being this early. Obviously there was some rust, but it was nice to see both teams being very aggressive and not afraid to battle down low. Cooper. if able to control the constant elbow swings and everything else, will be a force to be reckoned with.

Anybody know how Mason fared thes last days at the lewis team camp.Any scores. Thanks for any help.

Mason County went 5-1 at Lewis County winning I think every game by double digits, their loss came today against Russell who went 6-0 at Lewis County, 55-45, Miller looked good and made some tough shots, #25 had some nice dunks in some games, Russell had a good 6 game run

I was also there, I could've sworn that Brossart won a quarter but oh well. Brossart was very rusty with that being the first time in the gym for most since almost all play a spring sport. A couple players from Dixie, a tall lanky one and I believe TJ Richardson were pretty solid.

Nice win for Russell, how did Vanhoose look?

He looked pretty good to me!:thumb:

actually Miller and he guarded eachh other fought it out pretty good, I would probally call it a draw, Miller was able to shoot over him with his length, but Van Hoose was able to get around him with his quickness, both of them made some tough shots, difference in game was the other players, Blair, Harvey, and Maberry had monster games for Russell

I think Montgomery County played some games at Menifee county yesterday. Does anyone know how they did?
