October 2, 201511 yr Execution MAY have lacked? Sorry... I wasn't aware that "Horrible efforts" and "Execution MAY have lacked" have that dramatically two different definitions, but if it satisfies a need to split a hair, hope it works for you. I turned in last night content with the final result, and found the game somewhat oddly entertaining in what for me appeared to be rather lackluster play for two so called historically excellent NFL programs. It felt more like somebody won only because somebody had to lose. A tie wouldn't had been too far fetched either, and it almost appeared highly possible. I'll agree that "balls out" and "lackluster" don't quite equate. You say "Tomato..." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZ3fjQa5Hls I'm going to have to agree with Spin on this. Effort was certainly not lacking. They just stunk. If effort was lacking, that means you think if Scobee would've put forth more effort he would've made his FGs. If effort was lacking that would mean that if Vick had shown a bit more effort he would've connected with Brown on his 4th down airmail, or that Joe Flacco wouldn't have looked like a bum off the street for 65 minutes of game play. Those things didn't happen because of lack of effort, they happened because those guys just stink and can't execute.

And you're right, both teams at least worked up a sweat. Good enough?
October 2, 201511 yr Better yet...to cover all grounds and satisfy everyone... "OOOHHH...INSTANT CLASSIC!!!"
October 2, 201511 yr We all feel the same about good old Marvin. Neither one is headed for Canton, that's for sure!
October 2, 201511 yr As a Bengals fan I hope the Steelers never fire Tomlin. Love that guy there. We all feel the same about good old Marvin. Couldn't of said it better spindoc, and I'm a Bengals fan. I'd take Tomlin over Marvin everyday of the week and especially twice on Sundays.
October 2, 201511 yr ^exactly. Tomlin amd Haley should fine themselves. Give it to your all pro RB there. Scobee is junk. And to think my Jags somehow got a 6th round pick for him :lol2:
October 2, 201511 yr And to think my Jags somehow got a 6th round pick for him :lol2: Yep. And they gave a 5th rd pick for Boykin to Philly and he's played fewer snaps than me nearly.
October 3, 201511 yr The best RB in the game and you don't use him on the two biggest plays of the game?
October 3, 201511 yr The best RB in the game and you don't use him on the two biggest plays of the game? Ignorant. No question

October 3, 201511 yr This is no surprise. Without Ben, whom is the third best QB in the NFL right now, they are a very average team. The only way to overcome his loss is to have a lights out defense, which they don't, and a great running game, which they do. Problem for them is everyone will key on Bell and not so much Antonio anymore. Just makes them much easier to defend. Tomlin and Haley did not lose this game. Scobee did. ...and teams will take their chances of Vick beating them with his legs and arm. He ain't the younger Vick anymore. That was obvious.
