T.R. Christopher to Corbin??

Featured Replies

Wow! One kid can make that big of a difference. A whole season! Find that hard to believe. Does Bell Cty. not have more than one stud running back?

If you're already a slight underdog to a team like Rockcastle, losing your top running back can make a pretty big difference. With Hunter graduating and Whitaker not playing (I assume), those are big weapons to replace.

Don't ever doubt it, Bell Co will still be in good shape and will still be a favorite over Rockcaxtle Co

Also Jeff Howard who was Bell's #2 leading rusher is gone this season.

Bell is NEVER in bad shape and 1 player will not make/break a program like theirs. However, I picked Rock ahead of them before this announcement. I just think they are in bigtime upcycle in 2006 and if everyone is healthy, they should be the district/region favorite whether this announcement is true or not.

Still a favorite? Didn't Rockcastle win last year?

There is also a rumor around Laurel County about a player allegedly transferring to Corbin as well. However, the information I have gathered says that this information is false.

As far as the Christopher kid transferring to Corbin, this could really help the Hounds if he indeed has moved to Corbin.

I hear that a young lineman maybe coming to Corbin or elsewhere.

You think the Cristopher kid was worried he might have to play second fiddle to a coach's kid?

     That's all I can say about that!!!!

I hadn't heard that one. But North and South do both lose some younger players from middle school to high school to Corbin from time to time. The main rumor was that NL's TD scoring leader from 2005 who will be a senior this season could be moving. However, I was told this morning that their is no truth to this one at all directly from the horses mouth.

The requirement of moving into the school system's boundaries may have put an end to that possibility.

Wow if this T.R. Chistopher deal is true its gonna favor Corbin a whole lot. If true Bell Co. is one of those teams that can bounce back and still be in pretty good shape throughtout the season. (speaking of that as much as the Bell/Rockcastle rivalry is, Rockcastle will see both Corbin and Bell Co. in the opening week if this is true???) Corbin should be thrilled if they get this kid cause he's really a good RB, fast, hard to take down, and most importantly doesn't quit which will take him a long way down the road. So like the thread said if this is true what a pickup for the Redhounds!!!

Who is going to carry the load for Bell County In 06 if this is true??

Dominic Carton Is still a year away ,He has all the tools (great speed, quickness and power) to be a very special running back for the Bobcats In 07.

Is this a joke? I can't believe Coach Hilton would allow this to happen.

From what i have heard Dudley Hilton has caused alot of problems with his football players by evidently "not allowing things to happen". Maybe he learned his lesson.

I really think its a bad move on Christopher's part to leave. Hes been given so many opportunities at Bell County. I think a lot of people were really dissapointed with him last season and instead of allowing that to motivate him and get better hes going to leave it looks like.

Now I maybe off base a little big here, he may have had another reason, but thats my opinion.

At the same time Bell has 3 backs that will be sophomores who all had experience last year with Spencer Greer, Matt Simpson, and Tyler Harbin. There were actually times this year when I looked on the field and those 3 were in the wishbone together. They will just be sophomores, but they can play. Also some other kids like Robby Slusher could emerge.

Its too early to tell if we will be or not, but we maybe better off without him. Who knows.

Is Christopher carrying some baggage that most of us are not aware of? He seems like a first class kid and will be an asset wherever he lands next season.
