No I wouldnt say that at all. He may have had another reason to leave other than football, I have no idea. At the same time I heard the primary back spot wouldn't be handed to anyone but would have to be earned this year.

 

My understanding is that it was a family decision based on factors that do not include football. Hopefully things work out best for the kid, regardless of where he goes to school.

Mastermind, I was not knocking the Christopher kid. He is a good player. I do however, believe the Greer kid is a better all around back. You are also correct that he would not have started in the backfield at Whitley this season. Whitley is going to employ the Franklin Offense which utilizes one back and two split ends. Cody Jeffries has the back spot at Whitley tied down.

The coaching staff didn't influence that. The basketball team for several years now has been full of kids who also played football. This year 3 kids didn't simply because they wanted to concentrate on other sports as much as anything.

Christopher doesn't play basketball and hasn't since the 8th grade. He not that type of athlete to play b-ball for a good high school team.

I wasnt stating that that was the reason he left Bell Co. That was in response to Dudley Hilton letting this happen.

I would think he would have to be declared eligible by the KHSAA first which could take awhile, especially if Dudley's lawyers are called in.

I'm not sure when he is able to start practicing football, but I do know that he is currently playing summer baseball in Corbin.
