I still don't understand the hatred toward the coaches.

Is it the coaches responsibility to make sure the player gets home on a Monday early?

Why are the coaches considered tools?

sounds like to me, pardon this please, but sounds like to me the kid is just upset and making excuses why he wasn't home 45 minutes earlier when in the big scheme of things, who really cares?

I still haven't heard why getting out 45 minutes later is still making him late for getting back the next day and making him tired the next day? It's not the coaches fault this kid wants to go for a long drive home each week when he doesn't have to do it.

How does that make the coaches tools?

I'll break it down for you. Please read slowly.

1st question: No. Not coaches responsibility.

2nd question: I believe he is a tool for making the kid wait for no reason. The previous week, he was allowed to go first. This week he was made to go last. I'm not sure what you would call this. I apologize if you have a man-crush on coaches.

You got it yet?

Maybe the coaches are trying to discourage him from heading home every week?

Maybe they'd rather him spend his free-time bonding with his teammates away from the field than making a long drive and then being tired the next morning?

Maybe his practice performance has been suffering on Tuesdays and they feel he needs to cut out the home visits?

Lastly, if this is causing issues for him, wouldn't the easy solution be for your daughter to go visit him on Mondays?

I'll break it down for you. Please read slowly.

No man crush on the coaches, I don't even know what school or coaches you are talking about.

Seems a little fickle to me. Last week he was allowed to go first. does that mean the coaches weren't tools then?

This week he wasn't allowed to go first. That makes the coaches a tool.

What about the other kids last week who had to go last? Do you feel bad for them?

Why doesn't this kid just grow a set and do what a young adult should do in the first place and actually approach the coach and explain the situation and see what the coach says before painting the coach as a tool.

You say he is a tool for making him wait for no reason. How do you know the coach had no reason for the order he saw the kids? You have no idea, how do I know that? Because you are one who doesn't believe in approcahing the coach in the first place and asking him anything including why he does things the way he does them. You expect the coach to go up to this kid and explain every move the coach makes. Seriously, you and the kid both need learn what initiative is and stop waiting for everyone else to do things for you.

Could it possibly be that the coach isn't clairvoyant and doesn't know what the kids plans are in the first place? Maybe because the coach sets the time it is that time that matters. If the coach sets the time at 7am and everyone is there at 7am then who cares if you show up 15 mins early or not. You are there when the coach said to be there so wait your turn.

Now with that said, can you finally answer the question you've been avoiding. How does leaving later on Monday morning make him late getting back on Tuesday? how does that make him tired on Tuesday also? You see, common sense tells us that if the kid is tired on Tuesday mornings and late at getting back on Tuesday mornings then he would still be tired and late even if he was the first one the coach seen on Monday morning. Sounds like the kid has a problem getting enough rest and sleep and has a problem getting on the road in time. Doesn't sound like a coaches problem but more of your daughters boyfriend who has the problem doing what he needs to do so he isn't late.

Boy! Comprehension isn't your strong point, is it? Try to read slower again.

2nd paragraph. I was always taught, first come first serve. First in first out. Hey, I'll admit, the world is a change place that I don't always understand anymore. Maybe this has changed. I'm not sure.

3rd paragraph; No, I do not feel bad for them. I do not know them. If you want to be seen first, arrive first. Again, old fashioned values in your eyes.

4th paragraph: This kid doesn't have a beef. I never said he did. Keep up with your man crush.

5th paragraph: Wait his turn? What would his turn be if he was there early? I don't always get this new math.

6th paragraph: think harder. it may come to you.

1. I asked a question that you continue to ignore.

2. First come first serve doesn't work that way in everything. If you are the first to show up at the game on Saturday does that mean you should start?

You are missing all the points people are saying. He is a Freshman correct? Many times Freshman on a team are the bottom of the rung on that ladder. They are usually the ones that get stuck cleaning the locker room etc. after practice and gert out last. You seem to know everything in the world except how to ask a simple question. Why did you bother making this thread if you didn't want to hear the possible answers to your questions? Grow a set and pick up the phone and call Coach Tool and ask him yourself.

Now lets see how good your reading comprehension is. For the fourth time I will ask you what getting out last on Monday Morning has to do with him being tired on Tuesday morning and getting back to school late?

Can you please answer that question, after all you are the one who posted that as a problem with him being last yesterday.

BTW, his turn is when the coach says it's his turn. Not when you say it's his turn.

Maybe if he's tired and late on Tuesday's he'd do the responsible thing and a) go to bed earlier, and b) leave to head back to school earlier so he arrives back on time?

Sounds like a whole lot of blaming going on, when the only person who shoulders any blame is your daughter's boyfriend.

All in all to sum it up. The kid needs to quit football and transfer back home. He clearly would rather spend his time there. Also college athletics are not a first come first serve basis. College coaches don't have to cater to anyone. I'm certain the young man survived going last, did he not? And if it's that big of an issue, then either A. Quit going home until the season is over or B. Send your daughter down his way.

Is that a selfie or is that the coach you're talking about?

I think you opened up a can of worms and didn't get the answer you wanted.

All I asked is why coaches are tools. It has zero to do with the kid. The kid just told me what happened. He wasn't upset. He didn't complain. He just stated the facts.

I didn't understand. So, I asked a question. It has zero to do with his or my private parts growing. This has nothing to do with him quiting a sport he loves. Why are adults turning this about him? It's a simple question of an old man trying to understand the mentality of football coaches. Period.

Actually, I'm kinds sorry I brought it up. Except for the fact that greyfox is cracking me up!

Look Zero, I'm not going to get into name calling that you started in the first post calling coaches tools. It solves nothing. I tried to answer your question and you didn't like the answer. I can't help that. I do wish though, because I want to understand. Why is he late getting back to school on Tuesday and tired?

Really trying to understand what one has to do with the other.

You ask why adults are turning this into about him, you did that in your very first post. We simply asked why he doesn't ask the coach himself if he wants to know. Now if you are saying it doesn't matter to him, then why did you bring it up. It bothers you so much, then pick up your phone and ask Coach Tool yourself instead of a message board full of strangers you don't even know but expected to be coddled with replies of "You're right, how dare that coach allow anyone to go in front of this kid"

Now, answer these questions and I will leave this thread for good.

Why is the kid late at getting back to school on Tuesdays? Why is he tired?

How would that have changed if he got out 15 minutes earlier on Monday?

You brought it up, just trying to get you to explain this to us.
