Yeah, the background "noise" is what turned my wife and I off from the show. No one cares about how rough you've got it. Just sing.

The part I like about the Voice is the blind auditions. After that it seems to go steadily downhill.

I've seen this program once or twice and I agree with your post above. I watched the video of the guy, he's OK but not my cup-a-tea. I think they are going for a mostly female audience.

That is why I DVR the show and skip all that. You can watch in a pretty short time doing that.
